Who’s Who

Olivia Bailey (Miss Prism) is an eleventh grade student who made her Hun School stage debut in the fall play, Errors (Angelica). Besides performing, Olivia also enjoys writing, singing, traveling, and hanging out with her friends. She would like to dedicate her performance to her family; her friends who traveled to see her; the wonderful director, Mr. Esher; and the creator, Mr. Oscar Wilde himself!

Ryan Lagay (Merriman) is a twelfth grade student in his second year with the Janus Players. He has appeared in many shows, including Matilda (Mr. Wormwood), The Fabulous Fable Factory (Monroe), and Errors (Sunilos Solinus). Ryan plans to major in physics at Morehouse College and would like to continue acting there. He would like to thank his friends and family who have supported him in all his shows and his castmates and directors for helping him build his skills as an actor.

Jude Leming (Algernon) is a twelfth grade student who has been a member of the Janus Players since sixth grade. This is Jude’s twenty-third production with the Janus Players!

Recent credits include The Play That Goes Wrong (Chris Bean), Errors (Antino D. Syracuse), Urinetown (Lockstock), The Diary of Anne Frank (Otto Frank), and more. Jude will be studying drama in the fall at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He would like to thank his parents, Helena Shore, Tom Monfiletto, Otis Douce, Dara Martin, and Steven DelVecchio for their support. He offers special thanks to Josh Robinson and Bill Esher for allowing him to fall in love with performing over the past seven years, saying “none of it would be possible without you.” Most importantly, he extends thanks to the audience, noting that “it is a true honor to be in the Breen PAC for one last ride.”

Lucy Melchior (Cecily Cardew) is a tenth grade student who has been a part of the Janus Players for two years. Lucy has performed in The Music Man (Marian), Spongebob: The Musical (Karen), and The Diary of Anne Frank (Margot Frank). Outside of theater, Lucy loves to play tennis as well as spend time with her friends and family. She would like to thank the directors of this show for helping her come this far and her parents for pushing her to pursue theater.

Ivanka Pandey (u/s Cecily Cardew) is a tenth grade student who joined the Janus Players last year. She has participated in The Play That Goes Wrong (Stage Manager), Spongebob: The Musical (Tech Crew), The Diary of Anne Frank (Stage Manager), Errors (Odessa and Ino), and Urinetown (Stage Manager). Outside of theater, her hobbies include painting and dancing. She looks forward to participating in more Janus Players productions and hopes everyone enjoys the show.

Who’s Who Enzo Piastre (Jack) is a tenth grade student who has been a member of the Janus Players since the ninth grade. His list of stage successes includes The Play That Goes Wrong (Robert), SpongeBob The Musical (French Narrator), Diary of Anne Frank (Peter Van Daan), Errors (Antino Della Syracusa) ,and Urinetown (Officer Barrel). In addition to performing, he also likes music and playing the guitar. He would like to give a shout out to his Mom and the directors, as well as the cast and crew.

Isaac Rey-Russick (Dr. Chasuble) is a twelfth grade student who has been a member of the Janus Players since ninth grade. He has played in many productions, including Urinetown (Hot Blades Harry/Old Man Strong), Errors (Bombe), Diary of Anne Frank (Mr. Dussel), and SpongeBob the Musical (Squidward). When he is not performing, Isaac enjoys writing and playing video games with his friends. After Hun, Isaac plans to go to the Savannah College of Art and Design to study screenwriting. He would like to thank Mr. Esher and Mr. Robinson for helping him discover his love of acting and for not casting him as the butler this time.

Alan Shao (Lane) is a twelfth grade student who has been a member of the Janus Players since the ninth grade. He has been in numerous productions at Hun, including What You Will (Drew), The Play That Goes Wrong (Jonathan), Spongebob: The Musical (Mr. Krabs), Diary of Anne Frank (Mr. Van Daan), Errors (Ageion), Urinetown (Mr. Cladwell), and The Fabulous Fable Factory. Other than performing, Alan enjoys cooking, playing video games, and being with friends. Next fall, he will attend Northeastern University, studying in Scotland for the first semester. He thanks his parents and sister for all their wonderful support and love.

Helena Shore (Gwendolen) is a twelfth grader who has been a Janus Player since ninth grade; this is Helena’s thirteenth production in the Janus Players. Her recent credits include Errors (Luca), The Play That Goes Wrong (Sandra), The Fabulous Fable Factory (Gretel), and Urinetown (Soupy Sue). Next fall, Helena will be pursuing a B.F.A. in Acting. She would like to thank all of the Janus Players for creating some of the best parts of her life. She may be leaving Hun, but she will always be a Janus Player. She sends special thanks to her Mom, Jude Leming, Norah Shore, Ted Shaffner, Bill Esher, and the numerous supporters who have allowed Helena to call this place home — “Thank you for an incredible four years, it has been an honor.”

Emma Smith (u/s Gwendolen) is a tenth grade student and is enjoying her first year as a member of the Janus Players! She made her Hun stage debut in the fall show, Errors (Adrienne).

Outside of acting, Emma loves competitive cheerleading, travel, activism, writing and spending time with her friends.

Who’s Who Kate Smith (Stage Manager) is a tenth grade student, and this is her second play with the Janus Players. She was a part of the cast for Urinetown (stage manager/ graphic designer). Aside from theater, she likes crafting, traveling, and being with her friends.

She looks forward to being a part of more Janus Players productions in the future.

Joyce Xia (u/s Miss Prism) is a tenth grade student who has been a member of the Janus Players since ninth grade. She has previously performed in several productions at Hun, including Spongebob: The Musical (The Mayor), The Diary of Anne Frank (Miep), Errors (Abbessa), and Urinetown (Little Becky). Outside of the Janus Players, she enjoys dancing and playing music. Joyce would like to thank the cast, crew, and everyone else involved for their continuous support and hard work toward this amazing show!

Alina Xu (Lady Bracknell) is a tenth grade student in her second year as a member of the Janus Players. Alina has worked behind the scenes as a member of the tech crew, fulfilling such roles as lighting designer, lighting board operator, and assistant set designer. Last year, she made her acting debut in Errors (Dromia Staccato). In addition to working in the theater world, she likes science, art, and the NYT mini games. She gives a shout out to her dad for supporting her in everything she does!

Lauren Fleisher (Assistant Prop Manager) is a twelfth grade student and the current historian of the Janus Players. This is her eleventh Hun School production. She is excited and honored to once again join the tech crew for the final production of her high school career. Lauren has been featured in past performances including Errors (Balta), The Play That Goes Wrong (Tech Crew/Ensemble), and What You Will (Toni) and has helped with tech for many plays. She will hopefully continue to develop and enjoy her time in performing arts while pursuing her career in industrial design.

Jack O’Keefe (Tech Crew) is a twelfth grade student who has been part of the Janus Players since the tenth grade. He has been a part of many shows, including Errors (Tech Crew), Urinetown (Senator Fipp), The Play That Goes Wrong (Tech Crew), The Wiz (Tech Crew), and many more. He plans to pursue technical theater at Rowan University.
