Das glasüberdachte Atrium bildet das Herzstück des Hotels – ein Ort der Kommunikation, des Ausspannens und Flanierens. Rund um den zentral gelegenen Brunnen des PicassoWegbegleiters Gilbert Portanier befindet sich ein Großteil der umfangreichen Sammlung zeitgenössischer Kunst der Estrel-Eigentümer Dr. Sigrid und Ekkehard Streletzki, die die öffentlichen Bereiche des Estrel wie eine Kunstgalerie wirken lassen. The heart of the hotel is its glass-roofed atrium – a hub as suited to relaxation as it is to lively conversation. An expansive collection of contemporary art surrounds the centrepiece fountain designed by Picasso companion Gilbert Portanier. Thanks to the works collected by Estrel owners Dr Sigrid and Ekkehard Streletzki, guests find themselves transported to a gallery without needing to step a foot outside the hotel.

The restaurant Portofino is modelled after an authentic Italian trattoria. Pasta, pizza and light Mediterranean fare are made to order right in the heart of it all.

Located in the mezzanine of the atrium, La Terrasse serves casual breakfast, lunch and dinner options, while the atrium bars provide popular meeting points all day long.
