LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT Humber is located within the traditional and treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit. Known as Adoobiigok, the “Place of the Alders” in Michi Saagiig language, the region is uniquely situated along the Humber River Watershed, which historically provided an integral connection for Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Wendat peoples between the Ontario Lakeshore and the Lake Simcoe/Georgian Bay regions. Black Student Support & Engagement (BSSE) provides students who identify as Black, African and Caribbean with community, resources and support to help them fully maximize and thrive academically and personally throughout their Humber journey. BSSE programs assist with community building, leadership, personal and professional development, and on and off campus engagement.

The LGBTQ+ Resource Centre works to promote safer, braver and positive spaces, and offers a dedicated space at both the North and Lakeshore Campuses for students to connect with one another, access resources and build community.

The LGBTQ+ Resource Centre also offers drop-in hours where learners can speak to staff to learn about the LGBTQ+ programs and services available both on and off campus.

Indigenous Education & Engagement (IE&E) works in partnership with regional Indigenous communities to provide Indigenous students with comprehensive support that connects them academically, culturally and socially to their learning environment. IE&E fosters a strong sense of community by promoting Indigenous perspectives and creating opportunities for connection, growth and success on campus. For future students, IE&E offers guidance to ease the transition into post-secondary education, including assistance with applications and access to free OCAS applications.

IGNITE is Humber’s student government dedicated to supporting learners’ wellness, career success and social life with a wide range of services — from health and dental plans to dispute resolution and free in-person and virtual events. Humber Esports is part of the college’s varsity program and has been recognized by Esport Canada, an organization committed to promoting the growth and development of esports participation and excellence at all levels of play.

Esports is a rapidly growing industry offering entertainment along with career paths for those interested in the world of competitive gaming.

Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation, North Campus

NORTH CAMPUS Humber’s North Campus is a living lab with campus spaces designed to foster innovation and connection.

• The Humber Spa – a full-service classroom and retail boutique providing facials, hand and foot care, and body treatments.

• Dining Options – many eating establishments, and the Humber Room, a student-run fine dining restaurant.

• Athletics – varsity and intramural leagues and athletics facilities.

• The Humber Golf Lab – featuring a high-tech simulator and golf equipment fitting tools, it is the only one of its kind across all Canadian colleges.

• The Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation – our facility dedicated to driving the future of innovation and empowering students and industry to solve realworld challenges.

HOUSING OPTIONS STUDENT RESIDENCE (ON-CAMPUS) Humber provides residence space for 1,780 students between our North and Lakeshore campuses. On-campus housing is limited and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Centre for Skilled Trades and Technology

CENTRE FOR SKILLED TRADES AND TECHNOLOGY A career in the skilled trades starts at Humber Polytechnic’s Centre for Skilled Trades and Technology.

• State-of-the-Art Labs – experience hands-on learning in labs that simulate worksites in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, welding, industrial woodworking, construction, renovation and more.

• Expansion and Renovation – a $9.5 million expansion has added 500 skilled trades training opportunities for pre-apprenticeship, apprenticeship and post-secondary students and includes a heating, refrigeration and air conditioning lab as well as a gas and oil lab, an AR/VR/XR simulation studio, a heat plant, study spaces, a remote studio and collaboration pods.

Historic Cottage Buildings, Lakeshore Campus

LAKESHORE CAMPUS Humber’s Lakeshore Campus is located a short distance away from Toronto’s museums, theatres and galleries and offers a mix of history and innovation.

• Humber Cultural Hub – Phase 1 is open with Phase 2 scheduled for completion in 2026 that will include a new 500-seat performance hall as well as an Indigenousthemed classroom and an informal interior amphitheatre.

There will also be classrooms for use by various Faculties, new film studios, a Comedy Cabaret and more.

• Heritage Buildings – an academic village of 10 restored 19th-century cottage heritage buildings.

• Student Welcome and Resource Centre – also home to the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre.

INDIGENOUS EDUCATION & ENGAGEMENT Indigenous Education & Engagement builds a sense of community by connecting people through Indigenous perspectives.

INDIGENOUS STUDENT AWARDS, BURSARIES AND SCHOLARSHIPS Humber provides assistance to Indigenous students in meeting the costs of their tuition and living expenses while studying full time or part time. Humber offers a variety of bursaries and scholarships for Indigenous students. Humber’s Indigenous Education & Engagement website also offers a wide range of academic, personal, cultural and career support services.

INDIGENOUS TUITION GRANT The Indigenous Tuition Grant program is offered to Indigenous students from eight First Nations communities.
