NIK HARRIS VICE PRESIDENT OF STRATEGIC INITIATIVES & DEIB, HRC

Nik Harris (they/them), is a queer, gender non-conforming attorney, activist, and speaker.

A native of Tallahassee, Florida, Nik obtained their undergraduate degree from Florida A&M University and law degree from Florida State University. Nik was the first LGBTQ Director to a member of Cabinet in the State of Florida and currently serves as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and DEIB for the Human Rights Campaign.

They co-founded the open mic event series Thou Art Woman and the non-profit BLINC with G Wright. Nik is the recipient of several awards and is an award-winning Toastmaster who speaks across the country in support of equality. They serve on boards that are near to their heart and conducts training on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

With performances at the San Francisco International Comedy Competition, The Comedy Festival produced by TBS and HBO, and the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, her quick wit and playful stage presence have earned her loyal fans across the world.
