Derek Goldberg is the managing director for Southeast Asia and Hong Kong at Aetna International.

Since 2011, he has led Aetna's expansion in the region from two countries to six through a combination of organic and inorganic growth.

Shah Rouf was appointed chief business development officer of group corporate solutions at AIA Group in November 2016. Before this, he was CEO of AIA Sri Lanka from March 2010, and before that CEO of Aviva Romania from 2006.

He has more than 24 years of experience in the industry, having held senior management positions in life and non-life insurance in the UK, Middle East, India and continental Europe.

Alvin Fu is the chief corporate solutions officer overseeing AIA Singapore’s corporate solutions business which provides comprehensive employee benefits programmes for companies and organisations across Singapore.

Geoffrey Kuhn leads the health analytics team at Aon Centre for innovation and analytics. In this role, he is responsible for coordinating Aon’s global strategy as it relates to health analytics.

He first joined Aetna’s Hartford, Connecticut headquarters in 2006 and relocated to Aetna's Hong Kong office in 2008, where he led the integration of the Asia Pacific operations of Goodhealth Worldwide after Aetna acquired the company. In 2010, he relocated to Singapore to establish Aetna’s office as a regional hub for its expansion into Southeast Asia.

Since then, Aetna has seen record growth in membership numbers in the region, and momentum continues to build.

He is responsible for driving sustainable growth strategies and implementing businesscritical initiatives to strengthen AIA Singapore’s leadership position in the industry.

Before joining AIA Singapore, he was head of group insurance with Great Eastern Life Assurance, overseeing the sales and business underwriting functions.

He is focused on creating analytics capabilities that leverage multiple data sources, designing leadingedge strategies for employers and improving underlying individual health. Before moving to Singapore, he spent 10 years as a health and benefits consultant with Aon in Chicago.

He was the certifying actuary at Aviva previously where he was responsible for the technical aspects of its corporate solutions, retail health and general insurance offerings.

His passion is to improve Singapore’s healthcare financing system, increasing the value of employee benefits and investigating big data to manage healthcare costs.

He graduated with honours with a bachelor’s in business studies from Nanyang Technological University and is a Fellow of the Singapore Actuarial Society as well as the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.

Madhumita Banerjee is a senior human resources professional with more than 15 years of experience in the banking, information technology, telecommunications and healthcare industries.

Joanne Chan is the head of total rewards for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) at Boston Scientific. She is tasked with developing contemporary total rewards and mobility initiatives to support the trajectory of the fastgrowing medical devices company.

Cecilia Deasy has more than 20 years of experience in the consulting industry in Singapore, Shanghai and New York City. She provides advice by addressing the demand for disease intervention and integrated health and wellness plans to drive employee engagement and productivity.

Jeremy Broome joined the company in 2008 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Durham University and a master’s degree from University of Leicester.

Based in Singapore, she holds a leadership position within the Asia Pacific compensation and benefits team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Before joining the company, she held diverse HR roles at IBM, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Vodafone.

She holds a dual postgraduate degree in human resource management and economics.

She is passionate about volunteering in the community and participates in various volunteering events in Singapore.

She has accumulated more than 15 years of experience in pensions and HR consulting, organisation development, compensation and benefits, in Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, the UK and France, having worked for multinationals such as Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, Thomson Reuters, Alstom Group and General Electric.

She has a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from the University of Calgary, Canada, a MBA from the Nanyang Business School, Singapore, and is a certified global remuneration professional by WorldatWork.

She spent 13 years at Mercer Marsh Benefits and Aon Hewitt in business development and consulting on health and benefits strategies, flexible benefits, total rewards, M&A, retirement, talent and communications.

At Ernst & Young, she spent eight years in management and human capital consulting working on large-scale talent improvement and business re-engineering projects.

She started her career as an actuary and financial analyst with MetLife after graduating with a degree in applied math and statistics from Stony Brook University.

Before this role, he served as the global human resources business partner for Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management’s active and passive investment management businesses, and was head of HR at DeAWM Investment Gruppe, based in Frankfurt.

Previously, he served as head of talent acquisition for Asia Pacific based in Singapore, and has held various roles in professional and graduate recruiting. Before joining Deutsche Bank, he worked in executive search, focusing on the recruitment of wealth and asset management professionals in the UK and Europe.

Rohaya Roslee is the talent management leader (Southeast Asia) for Dow Chemical Pacific (Singapore). She is responsible for driving initiatives to enhance the capability and performance of employees and engaging the workforce to create a dynamic and inclusive workplace.

Ng Kok Eng joined Duke-NUS in 2008, covering staffing and business partnering, employee relations, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, information and systems, shared services, manpower resource planning and budgeting.

Alan Tan brings more than 15 years of HR regional experience in Asia Pacific. Having worked in different industries and across different HR functions, his specialisation includes managing mid-size to large MNC organisations by providing guidance and advice to all senior stakeholders.

Katarina Uherova Hasbani is a board member of Female Founders, which is an independent non-profit, non-governmental organisation dedicated to supporting gender equality in entrepreneurship and leadership through research, policy and advocacy action.

She also oversees the implementation of global and local programmes in Southeast Asia, influencing respective country leadership stakeholders to gain buy-in for these programmes and providing guidance to the countries in the implementation.

Before joining Duke-NUS, he spent five years in the public sector with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) as a recruitment officer, heading the technical recruitment section and as an officer commanding the manpower and administrative flight with one of the aircraft logistic squadrons.

His broad experience includes strategic HR business partnering, compensation and benefits, employee relations, talent acquisition and management.

He has successfully supported organisations in venturing into their stages of creation, growth and stabilisation.

Upon completing his service with the RSAF, he spent another 10 years in the private sector mainly in recruitment, employee relations, business partnering, HR functional black belt and shared services.

He recently assumed the position of head of human resources at ERNI Asia. He is also certified with Caliper Consulting in psychometric profiling. He earned a bachelor’s in commerce and a double major in human resources and management from Curtin University of Technology.

She supports companies with their market entry to clean energy sectors in her role as a consultant for the August company. She is a public policy professional with more than 15 years of experience in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Europe. At the European Commission, she worked on EU’s energy diversification efforts in its East and South Neighbourhood, along with policy work on renewables, energy efficiency and electricity and gas market liberalisation.

Before Dow, she was with Federal Express Pacific (FedEx), responsible for leadership development for Asia Pacific.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in building and real estate from National University of Singapore in 2001 and a graduate diploma in human resource management from Southern Cross University in 2004.

She has also gained a strategic workforce planning certification from the Human Capital Institute and is a certified facilitator for DDI, 7 Habits and situational leadership.

He graduated with a bachelor of commerce (major in management and marketing) and a master’s in human resource management from Curtin University of Technology. He also obtained a graduate diploma in personnel management from Singapore Institute of Management.

She is also a board member of the Alliance for Rural Electrification, the only global industry association that supports the whole value chain of renewable solutions for rural electrification in developing and emerging countries.

Stephanie Tan is a HR professional with more than 19 years of broad HR regional generalist/business partner experience in all aspects of recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development.

Aspa Lekka is the managing director for foodpanda in Singapore. Before that she was the managing director of foodpanda in Malaysia and worked closely with the top management team leading analytics.

Sim Beng Khoon is the director of HPB’s workplace health and outreach division overseeing the planning and implementation of the national strategy to promote health in the various key workplace settings in Singapore.

Over the past six years, she has worked extensively in the field of analytics for marketing and operations, and is the founder and director of the “Chez Alexandre” boutique hotel in Greece. She holds a degree in mathematics from University of Ioannina in Greece.

He leads the team in engaging policy and decision-makers in government, public agencies, businesses and unions to facilitate the roll-out of targeted health initiatives for the resident workforce.

Yvonne Koh holds the position of regional human resources business partner for Asia Pacific at Huntsman Singapore. She oversees the HR shared service centre at the Singapore site and provides HR business partnering support to the corporate functions in the region.

She was appointed the HR business partner for Asia Pacific at Fitbit in January 2016. Since joining, she has implemented benefits across major countries in APAC. Before joining Fitbit, she worked for various MNCs covering office equipment to e-commerce industries. This included Ricoh, HBO, NBCUniversal, Take-Two Asia and Lazada.

Beside English, she has proficiency in Mandarin and Japanese. Other than her interest in people, she also enjoys travelling and maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

He is a member of the Tripartite Oversight Committee on workplace health which is co-chaired by government ministers from the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Manpower.

She has more than 18 years of experience in the human resources field handling the full spectrum of job functions in fast-paced multinational organisations. She graduated with a bachelor’s in business administration, majoring in tourism and marketing from the Monash University, Australia.

He is also a member of the Workplace Safety and Health Council (Workplace Health) committee. Before joining the Workplace Health team, he was in obesity prevention.

He spearheaded the launch of nationallevel initiatives such as the healthier dining programme and the healthier ingredients scheme which were aimed at getting food manufacturers and F&B operators to provide healthier choices to the consuming public. He graduated with a degree in social science and a MBA from the National University of Singapore.

Webster Zhou is the total rewards director for Jabil. Being an expert in the C&B area for more than 15 years, he has been greatly involved in a wide range of human capital projects, which include organisation structure design, job analysis and evaluation and setting up grading structures.

Lai Looi Sing is the regional rewards manager covering the APMEA region for Kerry.

Previously, he was with Inchcape as a rewards manager and before this, he was doing consulting work at HR Business Solutions (now Mercer-HRBS). With more than eight years of compensation and benefits experience in consulting and corporate, he has worked with many organisations on projects, including benchmarking, salary structure, benefits review, reward process improvements through Excel/VBA, workshops and presentations at conferences.

Sun Ho started her career as a programmer, then picked up some business chops on how start-ups work while in a tech start-up and went on to found LittleLives.

Neil Narale is the leader of Mercer Marsh Benefits’ employee health and benefits business in Singapore.

He manages an extensive portfolio of clients and focuses on helping multinational corporations manage their benefit offerings from both a local and regional perspective.

More importantly, he has worked on the total rewards design, which comprises salary structure design and reviews, benefits programme reviews and harmonisation during the company’s transition and merger and acquisition, sales incentive design and more. Before joining Jabil, he was the HR consulting director at Mercer and Towers Watson and he obtained a B.S. in statistics from Fudan University, China.

LittleLives helps pre-schools manage their hordes of paperwork digitally by making it disappear into bytes and tech, and helps keep parents involved in their child’s learning.

Joy Chan Seah is the director of business development at experience design firm Ministry of Design. She first cut her teeth at global consulting firm Accenture and has since enjoyed extensive exposure to an array of industry best practices.

Stephane Michaud is in charge of the HR/OD centre of excellence for Mitsubishi Corporation companies in APAC. A business leader focused on achieving results through people, he balances strong strategic intent with handson experience.

Rupert Slezak is the total rewards lead, Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) Region at Mondelēz International based in Singapore.

Rupert is responsible to fuel the AMEA growth agenda by instilling cutting-edge reward practices across 28 countries.

Atul Sharma is the vice-president of human resources at Monsanto, responsible for EMEA, India, Asia Pacific and China, based out of Singapore. Before this, he was the vice-president of human international business for EMEA, Asia, South America and Canada, based out of St Louis.

Drawing from her corporate business background and a natural penchant for “getting the job done”, she now anchors MOD and keeps our chaotic design universe in check with her spreadsheets, PR kits and HR policies.

He is dedicating his career to helping organisations achieve their growth and value objectives by making the most of human potential, and using evidencebased interventions to improve policies and practices. He has a daughter who loves to sing like her dad and he also enjoys getting lost running or cycling across the beautiful Singapore cityscape.

Rupert has been instrumental in forming the rewards landscape during post-merger integrations (Kinh Do, Cadbury, Danone Biscuits) and establishing reward systems during portfolio consolidations (JDE JV, Bega Cheese). Rupert frequently supports organisational design during reorganisations and led the rewards change management during the Mondelēz International spin-off in 2012.

She has helped to grow MOD into a globally recognised awardwinning design SME, with offices in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Beijing, with projects spanning the region in more than eight countries.

Prior to joining Mondelēz International, he led various HR projects at The Coca-Cola Company.

Before Goldman Sachs, he was the director of human resources for Prudential, leading HR for India.

Sim Choo Lee is the head of human resources at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.

Fermin Diez has more than 30 years of experience in human resources, which includes consulting, corporate and academic roles in 40 countries in all continents.

Ommar Butt is a generalist with experience in compensation and beneďŹ ts, mergers and acquisitions, talent acquisition, global corporate HR projects and generalist work.

He has lived in Holland, the UK, Germany and Singapore on assignments for companies such as LG Electronics and NXP Semiconductors.

She has over 37 years of professional experience in leadership roles covering the full spectrum of human resources management, sourcing, supply chain management, ďŹ nance and general administrative functions.

Her expertise and knowledge spans across various US-based apparel sourcing operations, retail, facility management, publishing and currently in the education industry.

He has worked in global companies such as Deloitte, Towers Watson, PepsiCo and Freescale Semiconductor and was a senior partner at Mercer before joining NCSS. As a consultant, he has advised major multinationals, large local companies and public sector organisations at the board and C-suite levels on issues related to strategy, organisation structure, talent management and rewards.

He is currently working on the merger of NXP and Qualcomm.

Previous assignments at NXP included the carve out of an 11,000 employee business in 19 countries and the facilitation of organisationwide headcount planning and execution during the NXP-Freescale merger integration.

He currently sits on the board of Jurong Health Services. He has coauthored two books on strategic human resources and serves as adjunct faculty at Singapore Management University.

Dawn Wong has built the foundation of the HR division at Rakuten Asia, revamping all HR functions and policies to create a productive and conducive environment for all stakeholders.

TY is the head of the people team at Shopee, the fastest growing e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan.

Julia is the APAC regional partner for labour, employment and immigration for Squire Patton Boggs LLP, a US-based international law firm.

She has introduced creative initiatives and policies that have not only resulted in extensive cost savings, but also paved the way for her team to be nominated as one of the top HR teams in Singapore.

With the backdrop of Rakuten Asia’s new office named Crimson House Singapore, the opportunities of housing various sister companies under one roof with different corporate cultures has become a new incubator for HR initiatives to bring people together while realising the goals of the business.

Shopee is supported by Garena, Southeast Asia’s largest internet platform provider. As head of the people team, he has put in place initiatives to strengthen talent acquisition, employer branding, learning and development and employee engagement.

He is concurrently the regional head of operations, overseeing functions from payment, logistics to customer service and fraud matters.

Before Shopee, he spent more than four years with the Boston Consulting Group, and graduated with first class honours from Imperial College London.

She has extensive experience advising corporate and senior C-suite level clients on all aspects of the employment cycle from hiring, internal investigations, disciplinary and grievance issues to termination.

Drawing from her litigation background, she has the added advantage of being able to advise and represent clients on contentious employment issues such as disputes on enforceability of restrictive covenants.

Andrew Ing brings more than 30 years of industry experience in marketing, events, nightlife operations and management o The Lo & Behold Group.

As chief operating officer, he directly oversees operations across the group.

Anika Grant is a human resource professional with 20 years of business experience and a passion for people and developing their talent.

Before joining The Lo & Behold Group in March 2012, he served as the chief operating officer and executive director of the Catalistlisted St James Holdings from 2005.

He is currently the treasurer of the Singapore Nightlife Business Association; a management committee member of the Restaurant Association of Singapore; a Singapore Tourism Board (STB) Kickstart Fund mentor (since 2013); a member of the Ministry of Manpower’s SkillsFuture HR Sectoral Tripartite Committee; and a member of the SHATEC Mentorship Panel (F&B).

He is also a chevalier of the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne (Singapore chapitre). He was born in Sydney, Australia and holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce (marketing) from the University of New South Wales. He also attended Sydney Grammar School.

She has worked in Sydney, London, Paris and Singapore in a diverse range of roles – from client-facing to internal talent strategy, leading a global centre of expertise and running large HR operations.

Recently, she was the HR director for APAC at Accenture, leading a team of 500 HR professionals supporting a business of more than 65,000 employees across the region.

Currently, she is the HR director at Uber for APAC (including India) and LATAM, responsible for building a team and ensuring HR operations that meet the fast growing requirements of the business, with a distinct focus on culture.
