A HUMANITARIAN EMERGENCY
In October 2023, Gaza faced an unprecedented crisis. Nearly 1.9 million people in the region have been internally displaced, of which nearly 80% are living in makeshift shelters without adequate food, water, shelter, clothing or protection from the cold.
The official death toll has surpassed 46,000, including nearly 18,000 children, and more than 100,000 individuals wounded and 4,500 amputations. Humaniti responded immediately, delivering food,
medical aid, shelter, and clean water to those in desperate need. Through strong local partnerships, we’ve been able to adapt, scale, and sustain our efforts as conditions evolve.

A Message of Gratitude
Dear fellow humanitarians,
As I reflect on the tumultuous year we experienced in 2024, my mind is replete with remarkable memories from several field visits I undertook last year. I’m filled with immense gratitude for the opportunity to have witnessed the joy and hope our programs have brought to vulnerable communities.
Dreams live in the smiles of kids participating in our Meals of Hope nutrition program across black townships in South Africa.
Joy lies in the laughter of children who are given access to clean water in villages across the rugged terrain of Balochistan in Pakistan.
Hope can be seen through the tears of mothers whose children have been given a new lease on life after a successful Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) mission in Tanzania.
Excitement was in the air as children returned to brightly painted classrooms in newly refurbished schools across Northern Syria.
As we watched the destruction of Gaza intensify, your compassion enabled the provision of life-saving food, water, healthcare, shelter, education, and psycho-social support to over 1.3 million people struggling amidst the rubble and across Gaza. We have continued our support for thousands of families still suffering under the worst humanitarian disaster in Yemen.
To be sure, none of this would have been possible without your trust and unwavering commitment to Humaniti’s mission! Sadly, there is still so much more work to be done as poverty and suffering are widespread, and the current socio-political climate is exacerbating this fragile imbalance. Your generosity fuels our work and its impact has been significant – touching the lives of close to 2.5 million people across 30+ countries.
