& OPPORTUNITIES

PROGRAMS
Pathways to fit a variety of skills and interests
ADOPTION Support adoption staff and help match homeless pets with new families.
ANIMAL HANDLING Assist animal care staff in providing exercise, socialization and enrichment for shelter animals.
HUMANE EDUCATION Work directly with youth ages 3 to 16 in a wide variety of supervised, educational programs at the shelter.
ANIMAL INTAKE Assist Intake, Exam, and Surgery teams with medical procedures and administering care to shelter pets.
SPECIAL EVENTS Represent HSTB throughout the community at outreach and fundraising events.
TNVR Support the veterinary team to care for feral cats before, during, and after TNVR procedures at the Animal Hospital.
COURT ORDERED Individuals aged 16+ can complete community service hours, or hours for a PreTrial Diversion or PreTrial Intervention (PTI) programs.




FOSTER FAMILIES
Special care for underage, sick, or injured animals
For homeless animals needing extended or long-term care.
Fosters provide a loving environment in their homes for animals who need extra time to heal or grow.
HSTB provides foster families with all the necessary supplies, resources, and instruction to care for their guests.

VOLUNTEER GROUPS
For corporate groups, schools, or local organizations
School and/or service hours can be earned.
Group participants must be age 16 or older.

TEAM BUILDING FOR TAILS
Corporate and community group teambuilding
Enhanced teambuilding options including lunch and/or happy. hour, a shelter tour and more (small per-person cost).
The Humane Society of Tampa Bay (HSTB) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides shelter for homeless and at-risk animals, facilitates adoptions, offers veterinary and TNVR services to the general public and seeks to connect with the Tampa Bay community in meaningful ways.
