Pre-Op Solutions Provides Peace of Mind in Preparation for a Surgical Procedure After suffering from osteoarthritis for several years, Margaret’s physician recommended she have a total knee replacement. Discussing the pros and cons of the surgical procedure, she was eager to find relief from years of pain and decided moving forward was the best option for her. YMCA Community Health Programs The YMCA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening community through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. In addition to group exercise classes, personalized health coaching, and self-care, the Y offers programs for diabetes management, education, and prevention (English/ Spanish), cancer survivorship, Parkinson’s and arthritis management, and falls prevention. In-person, virtual, and outdoor wellness options are available. The Y’s community health workers distribute free, fresh produce and offer nutrition education and other resources in food deserts across the region. It also runs federally funded child nutrition programs at dozens of afterschool sites and summer day camps. Financial assistance and volunteer opportunities are available. He went on to complete his residency in Family Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He entered the United States Naval Reserve Medical Corps in 1999 and holds the current rank as Commander. He was trained as a US Navy Diving Medical Officer and Flight Surgeon.
