Welcome to Hullu Poro (Crazy Reindeer) Hotel Hullu Poro warmly welcomes you to Levi. Our company has offered high quality accommodation and restaurant services in Levi for already more than 25 years. Times have changed a great deal since I opened the Porogrilli restaurant in 1981. Back then, there were three snowmobiles and three ski lifts. Today, there are 28 ski lifts and 30 places which rent out snowmobiles. The Hullu Poro (Crazy Reindeer) corporation has 15 restaurants seating 4,500 guests and a hotel with 450 beds. I have to confess that I’m still as crazy about my Crazy Reindeer and all the services we can now provide as I was about my first grill restaurant. In 30 years, Levi has become a winter city of white, a place pulsating with life 24 hours a day. In the summer, too, Levi continues to offer the best of Lapland as nature wakes up and a number of entertaining events are held. We who live in the village of Levi are always ready to welcome visitors who come here to enjoy themselves and get away from their everyday lives. Levi in a nutshell Levi is an activity resort for year-round experiences. Village with a blend of Lappish exoticism and a range of services developed with care. Levi is the name given to the area surrounding the 510 meter high Levitunturi (the Levi fell). It is located in the western part of Lapland, 1000 km from Helsinki and 170 km north of the Arctic Circle. Levi is an outdoor resort that keeps growing and developing. During winter downhill and cross country skiing in an arctic weather are the most popular activities. In summer time you can try for example playing golf or hiking up on the hills and enjoy the brightness of the Midnight Sun.
Getting to Levi Kittilä airport is a 15-minute drive from Levi resort (15 km). Finnair flies between Helsinki and Kittilä all year round. During the winter high season, daily flights are available. Blue1 operates during winter from Helsinki. Flybe has three weekly flights during winter season to Levi from Tampere, Turku and Seinäjoki. Norwegian has three weekly flights. An airport shuttle bus runs from Kittilä airport to Levi after all Finnair and Blue1 flights throughout the year. The bus also runs from Levi to the airport before the flights. Trains from Helsinki will get you to Kolari or Rovaniemi (Kolari 80 km and Rovaniemi 170 km from Levi) and direct bus connections to Levi available from the railway stations. It is also possible to take your car on the train and drive the final stretch from Kolari or Rovaniemi to Levi.

Penthouse Poro Penthouse Poro has been tastefully built to provide an ultimate experience in privacy and peace for your stay in the heart of Levi. This modern apartment is ideal for those who want to have easy access to all the services without being disturbed by others. Blueberry Villa Located in the small village of Köngäs, Blueberry Villa is just a 10-minute drive from the centre of Levi. The beautiful threestorey blue building stands on the banks of the Ounasjoki river, surrounded by peaceful Lappish countryside. Blueberry Villa has 980 m² of floor space and is a thoroughly inviting place for your visit. A few stairs lead up to the front door, which opens into a lobby with a high ceiling and chandeliers. From the lobby a wide wooden staircase leads up to the guest bedrooms on the second floor. By the staircase is a welcoming fireplace, and beyond it the living-room. There is a a large dining table which seats 12 people and even a grand piano for live music performances. From the traditional livingroom, doors open into the Room of Mirrors, which has a view to the river and makes a perfect setting for formal dinners for up to 26 people. Grandma’s. The quality à la carte list offers decently sized Finnish classic dishes. One of the most popular dishes is definitely reindeer meatballs, but you should not forget fishes, soups or schnitzel à la Ämmilä. During the lunch time Ämmilä serves home styled lunch buffet. On Sundays lunch buffet is served on a Lappish way, being a Lappish Buffet.
Wanha Hullu Poro The number one restaurant-bar in Lapland. If you are looking for karaoke, rock and disco music, this is the place to be, Rock Café Wanha Poro! Rock Café Wanha Poro has a tradition of many years as a special and distinctive restaurant in Levi. This rustic, wooden restaurant is perhaps the best known restaurant in Levi.
Taivas Heavenly tastes, glimmering stars and stunning views. Restaurant Taivas (Sky) offers a versatile breakfast buffet and a tasty dinner buffet. Restaurant Taivas is located on the top floor of the hotel and has a magnificent view of Levi and Pallas fells. Never been to Levi before? Why not start as so many have for years. The dinner in Restaurant Pihvipirtti (Steakhouse) has become a tradition for numerous guests. Since Valentine’s Day 1999, this homely restaurant has been a sanctuary for those who love an honest steak. But the Steakhouse is not famous only for the delicious steaks. The Steakhouse dinner starts with an appetizing cold buffet including fish and seafood selection, and ends with mouth-watering white-chocolate mousse. The most important part of the dinner, the steak served with sauce and potatoes on side, can be chosen from two sizes and different meats. Night after night people flock to Pihvipirtti for the fish delicacies and the delicious steaks, and the wine list always offers a few surprises. Pihvipirtti always makes friends with those who love good food and wine.
Kammi serves the Reindeer Feast which is a true celebration of Lappish slow cooking. As fitting for a feast, the amount of food will take you by surprise. The main course consists of traditional Lappish dishes prepared over an open fire: reindeer sausage, reindeer roastsmoked in a kota, sautéd reindeer, spareribs, salmon, mashed and baked potatoes. Side dishes are wild mushroom salad, lingonberries and Kammi pickled gherkins.
For dessert there is crêpes, cloudberries and whipped cream.
Reindeer Feast menu based on the same traditional recipes has been served for 15 years. Night after night, yet more satisfied diners step out into the Levi night, very full but always very cheerful. Some say it is the food and the atmosphere, some say it has something to do with the wild mushroom salad. There is a way to know for sure, come and try yourself. Sapuška Slavic-Russian restaurant Sapuška is the new Slavo-Russian member of the cosmopolitan Hullu Poro family. Opened in the former premises of Asia Brasserie, the restaurant serves as a place for meeting friends and fellow villagers over a plate of solyanka or some other Eastern-European delicacy. Sushi Bar Asia Making room for Sapuška was not the end of the Asia Brasserie & Sushi – quite the contrary, the restaurant has re-opened in the premises of the former Kana and Kannu restaurant. Lapland à la carte Valkea Vaadin The legendary Lapland à la carte restaurant, Valkea Vaadin, is located at Levin Tori square. Valkea Vaadin, or “The White Fawn”, offers the best Nordic flavours in an evocative Lappish atmosphere. Re-opened in the Autumn 2013, Valkea Vaadin is situated right at the Levi marketplace next to Hotel Hullu Poro. Those who visit Levi tend to lose their hearts to “The Fawn”, not to mention being taken by the restaurant’s delicacies. Enjoy the dishes painsta-

Anyone who has been to Levi knows Hullu Poro Areena. Why? That’s simple. Areena has it all. The atmosphere, the DJ’s, the drinks. From top concerts, gigs, meetings, workshops, to any type of party you can imagine. If you’re looking for excitement, take to the dance floor or be the Star of the evening in the Karaoke Saloon. With ten bars and a large dance floor, Areena has since its opening at 2001 been the scene of the best parties of Levi. A place where people can party as one big happy crowd or holding their own private parties in one of the VIP boxes for 10–100 people. Areena offers excellent opportunities also for hosting meetings, private functions or dinners for up to 600 people.
Pub Hölmölä
The simply fun and comic Pub Hölmölä serves at Levin Tori square from morning until late night. Pub Hölmölä’s idea is based on humorous Finnish folk tales of a village where the people see life and world in an upside manner, resulting in chaotic situations in everyday life. In the pub you can find a sauna, Hölmölä Express Bus, billiard and other fun stuff. Occasionally we have live music and stand up performances. Drop in to enjoy tasty pub food and a nice pint of beer.

To make life easier, Hullu Poro offers personal Dine Around packages which let you try several restaurants at cut prices. The dinner pass is valid for three to five days. A three-day Exotic package, for instance, starts out with the Lappish dining experience Reindeer Feast at Kammi restaurant. Lumberjack evening
The Lumberjack’s evening at Taivaanvalkeat is an experience even before it starts. During the day before the event the guests are given a flannel shirt and an invitation to the party. The invitation doesn’t say much, just the time and place. The rest is left to the guests’ imagination for now.
When the guests arrive at Taivaanvalkeat, they are greeted by Ritva & Pertti, the hostess & host of the lumberjacks cottage. Ritva is a true hostess of the olden times, ever the efficient lady of the house, and Pertti is the easygoing host.
But during all the activities and excitement, let’s not forget the one thing most important to lumberjacks: the meal time. On the menu we have pork, beef tongue, reindeer sausages, fried potatoes and other old favourites of hard working men.
Ritva & Pertti will take over the course of night, giving the guests old Finnish names, talking only Finnish (language is not a problem as the guests will get a menu in English & a “dictionary” to help them), and inviting guests to competitions.
When the guests so wish, an accordionist can be added to the Lumberjack’s evening. This gives the guests the chance to enjoy live music, and dance to old Finnish favourites. If time allows, the evening can also start in the old lumberjack sauna at Taivaanvalkeat.

The Finnish beer festival offers good Finnish beer, traditional brands, as well as a bit more exotic ones. The table is filled with food fitting the festival: overcooked leg of pork, roast country potatoes, assorted sausage, roast chicken, potato salad and lots more. And even though the food and drinks are the main thing, you can also be star of the evening. Singing is a big part of beer festivals, so we have karaoke equipment at hand. You can sing your favorite drinking songs in groups or be star of the evening yourself.

The main building accommodates 36 persons in twelve rooms and caters for up to 100 persons. The 120 square meter main hall of Taivaanvalkeat is also suitable for meetings. In Restaurant Tonttula (Elves’ Cottage) childhood memories come back to you, and you can sense an atmosphere of old times. The timber walls and open fire places create a comfortable place for lunches and dinners for groups. The 300 m2 loft room offers premises for uses only limited by imagination.
