Exploring Dykeman Farm

Nothing says “fall” to Dutchess County residents like a visit to Dykeman Farm. For four generations, the Dykeman family has been the destination for pumpkin-picking, fresh corn, hayrides and now apple-picking as well.

If you were a fan of the movie “A Quiet Place”, you saw stars John Krasinski and Emily Blunt run through cornfields planted by the Dykeman family. Kids can also play in the original set pieces used in the film in son Mason’s Madhouse play area when you hunt for pumpkins.

Whether you carefully select your pumpkin from the field or browse their amazing variety of gourds at the farmstand, your autumn décor will have a big upgrade. For apple fans, you have a choice of over 70+ varieties for the picking. If you need some guidance for flavor or baking, just ask!

The cider and doughnuts are irresistible to Adam and myself. Their shiny new farmstand also sells local preserves and gifts.
