Hudson National Golf Club is one of the premier private clubs in the world, where championship golf, world-class hospitality, and extraordinary service converge on one of the most spectacular pieces of land in America. Located just 49 minutes from Grand Central Terminal in New York City, the Club offers a uniquely luxurious escape that feels worlds away from Manhattan while remaining remarkably accessible. The property sits high on a dramatic ridgeline overlooking one of the widest stretches of the Hudson River, with sweeping views extending south toward the New York City skyline and north toward the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Opened in 1996 and designed by legendary golf course architect Tom Fazio, Hudson National quickly established itself among the finest golf clubs in the country. Following a comprehensive renovation completed with the Fazio Design Group in 2023, the Club continues to earn national recognition for its golf course, practice facilities, service culture, culinary program, and overall member experience.
At the heart of the property sits a beautifully restored 1911 manor estate house that serves as the clubhouse. The land itself is steeped in history, from its role during the American Revolution to the remnants of the historic Hessian Hills Country Club that remain visible on the property today. Few clubs in the country combine such rich history with such dramatic natural beauty.
Hudson National is intentionally boutique in scale. With sixteen overnight guest rooms, two private cottages, and a national membership, the Club delivers an experience more reminiscent of a Relais & Châteaux property than a traditional golf club. Members and guests enjoy the sophistication, cuisine, and service standards of New York City’s finest establishments while being immersed in the tranquility of the Lower Hudson Valley. It is a place where a guest can spend the evening overlooking the Hudson River and still be back in Manhattan the same day.
The membership consists of many of the nation’s most accomplished business leaders, entrepreneurs, executives, and families. Their expectations are reflected in every aspect of the operation. From personalized service and luxury accommodations to nationally recognized golf instruction, culinary experiences, and hospitality programming, every detail is executed with an uncompromising commitment to excellence.
Hudson National is also a club that continually invests in its future. Following its transformative golf course renovation and investment in turf care equipment, the Club has embarked on an ambitious long-range master plan that includes a full clubhouse renovation, a state-of-the-art turf care and environmental center, a new cart barn complex, and luxury cliffside cottages overlooking the Hudson River. These projects reflect the Club’s belief that excellence is never finished and provide team members with a front-row seat to the evolution of a world-class private club.
For interns, Hudson National provides a rare opportunity to learn within a culture of excellence. Whether your interests lie in golf operations, agronomy, culinary arts, food and beverage, hospitality, lodging, or club management, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside some of the industry’s most respected professionals. The Club’s boutique size allows interns to assume meaningful responsibilities, build relationships with department leaders, and gain exposure to all facets of a nationally recognized private club operation.
Simply put, there are very few places in the club industry where world-class golf, Michelinlevel hospitality, luxury lodging, rich history, breathtaking scenery, and visionary leadership come together in the way they do at Hudson National Golf Club. It is not just a place to work—it is a place to learn, grow, and experience the very best our industry has to offer.

Hudson National offers a six-month internship across four departments: Golf, Agronomy, Culinary, and Food & Beverage. The program is built for current students and recent graduates who want a full season inside a nationally ranked private club rather than a short summer placement.
Six months is a deliberate choice. It is long enough to see a season open, peak, and close; long enough to be trusted with real responsibility; and long enough for us to know you well enough to advocate for you afterward.
• Six month committments preferred, but not mandatory for all interns. Start dates are flexible and set around your academic calendar.
• Housing: on-site and nearby housing available to all interns if needed.
• Meals provided on duty.
• Uniforms: provided.
• Eligibility: current students and recent graduates.
• One-on-one mentorship from the General Manager/COO.
• Cross-department learning: structured time in the other three departments, so a golf intern understands the kitchen and a culinary intern understands the first tee.
• Club orientation and historical property tour.
• Career conversations with the General Manager/COO and Assistant General Manager, including resume and cover letter review.
• Attendance at operational meetings relevant to your department.
• Bi-weekly feedback and goal-setting with your direct manager.
• Club-sponsored certifications, which may include First Aid, CPR, AED, and TIPS.
• Select industry events and networking through CMAA, the Metropolitan PGA, MetGCSA, and the Club’s professional network.

You will not find a better place to start a club career. Westchester County holds one of the highest concentrations of private clubs anywhere in the country, and the greater metropolitan area extends that reach across Long Island, Connecticut, and northern New Jersey. Within an hour of Hudson National are clubs that have hosted U.S. Opens, PGA Championships, and Ryder Cups.
That density is the point. The Metropolitan PGA Section and the local CMAA chapter put you in rooms with the people who do the hiring, and the professionals you meet during six months here will still be answering your calls in ten years. Interns who come to Westchester rarely have to explain where they trained.

The Club sits on a ridge above the Hudson, and the Hudson Valley starts at the property line. The Old Croton Aqueduct Trail runs twenty-six miles through the village. Croton Point Park reaches out into the river with camping and shoreline. Croton Gorge sits below the New Croton Dam, and Teatown Lake Reservation is a few minutes south. Drive twenty minutes north and you are into the Hudson Highlands, Bear Mountain, and Harriman State Park.

Croton-Harmon is an express stop on Metro-North’s Hudson Line, with trains to Grand Central in under an hour and departures several times an hour. Dinner in the city, a Yankees game, a museum on a Tuesday off, none of it requires a car or a plan. You are close enough to use New York and far enough to actually rest.

LAUREN CUCCIA ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER
Lauren Cuccia oversees a wide range of club operations at Hudson National Golf Club, including culinary, food and beverage, lodging, facilities, and member services. A lifelong Croton-on-Hudson resident, Lauren began her career at Hudson National as a host during college, and, through hard work, leadership, and a commitment to excellence, steadily advanced into her current role as Assistant General Manager. She holds a Master of Public Health from the University at Albany and was a Division I Track & Field athlete, experiences that continue to shape her disciplined and team-oriented approach to leadership.
Lauren is actively involved in both the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) and the Westchester Assistant General Managers group. She is passionate about developing future club leaders and regularly organizes visits to leading clubs, Michelinstarred restaurants, and top food and beverage establishments throughout New York City to expose interns to best practices across the hospitality industry. Having worked her way up through nearly every facet of club operations, Lauren is dedicated to providing interns with meaningful mentorship, hands-on experience, and the professional development opportunities that helped shape her own successful career.
Food and beverage at Hudson National is often not compared to other private clubs, but is often referenced as the best restaurant in the NYC metro area. Service runs from casual golfer dining through fine dining on the terrace overlooking the Hudson, alongside a busy calendar of member programming and private events.
A Food & Beverage intern is exposed to every area of that operation. You will develop and demonstrate knowledge through structured training and conversations with managers, take on real leadership responsibility on the floor, and work alongside the management team on the day-to-day running of the dining rooms. You will see both the operational and the administrative side of club dining.
• Assist the Food & Beverage managers with daily operations across the dining outlets
• Help oversee the dining room floor, including supporting less experienced staff
• Complete daily food and beverage and event reports and paperwork
• Support private parties and club events, from small seated dinners through largeformat functions
• Assist with training, scheduling, ordering, member billing, and clubhouse opening and closing procedures
• Jump in wherever service demands it — this is a hands-on role and adaptability is the job
• How an upscale club dining operation is planned, staffed, and controlled
• Beverage and specialty cocktail programs, through workshops with the F&B managers
• The Club’s wine program, through an educational session with the sommelier
• Club finance, through a workshop with the Chief Business Officer
• Event execution from BEO through breakdown
• Best practices beyond the Club, through visits to leading clubs, Michelin-starred restaurants, and top food and beverage establishments in New York City
By the end of the internship you will have managed a dining room floor, executed private events, and worked the administrative side of a club F&B operation. You will leave with practical management experience, exposure to the New York hospitality market, and a foundation for Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training roles in private clubs, hotels, and restaurants.
• Current student or recent graduate in hospitality management or a related field
• Interest in a management track rather than a purely service role
• Composure, adaptability, and a genuine willingness to jump in
• Strong attention to detail in both service and paperwork
• Availability across evenings, weekends, and the event calendar
