The HUBZone Council is proud to feature Dr. Dietra Trent, Executive Director, White House Initiative on HBCUs, Office of the Secretary, Department of Education. As a changemaker, the Biden Administration could not have appointed a more passionate Trailblazer to lead this Initiative. A woman steeped in her community – the churches, educators, and entrepreneurs.
Dr. Trent believes that so many HUBZone businesses have an abundance of talent available in their own backyards. These resources reside in the HBCU communities. She hopes HUBZone businesses would intentionally leverage this talent to win federal contracts.
