PISpotlight:MeenalRana

Dr. Meenal Rana received the 2023 Society for the Study of Social Problems (SSSP) Best Paper Award in Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The paper is titled "Youth-Adult Partnership in Social Entrepreneurship and Community Engagement: A Case Study of Daula Village in India," and co-authored by Beth Phelps and Lonny Grafman. Dr. Rana found the opportunity through Pivot, our grant database. We'll post the paper to our social media when published, so keep an eye out!

NSF|RacialEquityinSTEM Education(EHRRacialEquity)

Supports projects focused on advancing racial equity in STEM education and workforce development that are led or co-developed by individuals and communities most impacted by the inequities caused by systemic racism. Proposals may request up to $5M for a duration of up to 5 years.

NEH|SpotlightonHumanitiesin HigherEducation

Supports the exploration and development of small projects that would benefit underserved populations through the teaching and study of the humanities. This program offers two levels of funding (Exploration: up to $25,000; Development: up to $60,000).

NEH|CollaborativeResearch

Supports research in a single field of study or interdisciplinary work with collaboration by teams of two or more scholars. The program includes four project categories: Planning International Collaboration, Convening, Manuscript Preparation, and Scholarly Digital Projects. Awards up to $250,000.

SequoiaParkZoo|Conservation GrantProgram

Proposals should be submitted for projects that have a clear direct impact on conservation of wildlife and/or habitat. Appropriate projects include proposals for research, certain educational programs, and habitat management. Awards up to $3,000.

Application Deadline: January 27, 2023

NEH|PublicScholars

Supports individual authors for research, writing, travel, and other activities leading to the creation and publication of wellresearched nonfiction books in the humanities written for the broad public. Awards up to $5,000 per month for a period of six to twelve months.

RSF|BehavioralScienceand DecisionMakinginContext

Supports research furthering understanding of economic, social, and political decisionmaking processes, attitudes, behaviors, and institutional practices in public and private contexts. Awards up to $50,000 or $75,000, depending on project needs.

NIFA|AgricultureandFood ResearchInitiative-Education andWorkforceDevelopment

Supports professional development, workforce training, and non-formal education opportunities in the food and agricultural sciences. Awards range $20,000-$750,000.

CaliforniaCoastalCommission| WHALETAIL

Supports experiential education and stewardship of the coast and its watersheds. Grant projects can engage youth or adults, and may include: youth education programs, programs for educating the general public, climate change education and stewardship, shoreline cleanup and enhancement programs. Awards up to $50,000.
