majority of cops are honorable, decent and real. But the idea that he wouldn’t even acknowledge the problem — and white nationalists are raising their heads all across the country.”
Trump condemned unrest in Portland, Oregon, too, where a supporter was shot and killed recently — and an increase in shootings in cities including Chicago and New York — and tried to take credit for stopping the violence in Kenosha with the National Guard. But it was Wisconsin’s Democratic governor, Tony Evers, who deployed the Guard to quell demonstrations in response to the Blake shooting, and he

The city forwards that form to the state. You would be amazed at what you can find out about a candidate when you search the Internet. You have to search their name, the name of any company they are affiliated with, lawsuits, any licenses they may have, actions taken against the individual, all kinds of stuff. Check YouTube. Call the candidate, email them. Both candidates are looking for volunteers too, and the council candidates are looking for volunteers.
Let’s not forget the Board of Education and other slots openings, including

money” is good; “new money” is somewhat tainted. That was one of the points in “The Great Gatsby.” And, new money is especially suspect when it comes from those who are not of standard “American” stock.
Third, the term was misogynistic. Jewish male literary figures (Roth and Wouk) created the stereotype in print; Jewish men perpetuated it. Jewish women used it as a negative signifier --”I am not a JAP!” had pleaded with Trump to stay away for fear of straining tensions further.
“I am concerned your presence will only hinder our healing,” Evers wrote in a letter to Trump. “I am concerned your presence will only delay our work to overcome division and move forward together.”
Biden has assailed Trump as an instigator of the deadly protests that have sprung up on his watch. On the eve of his visit, Trump defended a teenager accused of fatally shooting two men at a demonstration in Kenosha last week, though he did not mention the young man Tuesday.
Claiming the mantle of the “law and order” Republican candidate, Trump in
judicial seats. You have to do the same thing with these candidates. There are some pretty interesting facts about some of the past judges that felt they were qualified to sit on the bench. It takes time to do all this research. I worked, had a family to take care of, other time-consuming commitments, but somehow, I found the time to do it in our last election of 2016). It was that important to me.
Read, read, read. I do an absentee ballot and that gives me plenty of time to research everything.
I do not mail in my ballot; I drop it off at a polling place. You would think
The term also conveniently transferred all the negative stereotypes about Jewish men, the common tools of economic anti-Semitism, onto women. You could no longer say that Jewish men were grubby and materialistic, but you could say that about Jewish women with impunity.
Hence, Shylock in drag.
It is now forty years later, and the JAP stereotype has blissfully disappeared.
Whenever I hear socio-economic stereotypes, I keep thinking that at least sists that he, not Biden, is the leader best positioned to keep Americans safe. He said his appearance in Kenosha would “increase enthusiasm” in Wisconsin, perhaps the most hotly contested battleground state in the presidential race.
Blake’s family held a Tuesday “community celebration” at a distance from Trump’s visit.
“We don’t need more pain and division from a president set on advancing his campaign at the expense of our city,” Justin Blake, an uncle, said in a statement. “We need justice and relief for our vibrant community.”
The NAACP said Tuesday neither candidate should visit the Wisconsin city as tension simmers. Biden’s team has I’m paranoid about eh U.S. postal system (I am). I want to be sure it gets where it is supposed to go. Did you know you can track your ballot online?
Go to the Registrar’s website and look for the information.
Lastly – the proposi
tions… California holds the record on propositions. You need to read the text of these things. The text is often cumbersome and contradictory. There is something in grammar known as a “double negative.” A double negative is when you have two negative components in one sentence, statement, etc. It’s meant some of them are anti-Semitic.
Take that current term, so favored by the right wing: “elitists.” I know that I am not alone in thinking that the term is a dog whistle -- and that it includes me.
The social classes are at war -- sometimes subtly; sometimes, not so subtly. From the Left, it is economic; it is about “privilege.” From the Right, it is intellectual and cultural; it is about “elitists.”
So, is “Karen” Jewish?
She does conform to an older, pernicious percepconsidered a visit to Kenosha and had previously indicated that a trip to Wisconsin was imminent but has not offered details.
Protests in Kenosha began the night of Blake’s shooting, Aug. 23, and were concentrated in the blocks around the county courthouse downtown. There was an estimated $2 million in damage to city property, and Kenosha’s mayor has said he is seeking $30 million from the state to help rebuild.
Trump announced Tuesday that his administration was making $5 million available to the city and sending than $42 million to the state, with most of the funding aimed at bolstering law enforcement, he said.
The violence reached its to confuse the reader. The lobbyists who write these propositions are good at that.
Remember proposition 6 that repealed the gas tax? Do you know why it lost at the ballot box? Because the text was full of contradictory statements. It confused the heck out of many people. There are twelve propositions on the upcoming ballot. Read the text, then go to YouTube to look for the arguments, pro and con. In most cases, the choice will be clear.
This is Civics 101. The upcoming election is a hugely important one and will define the direction in tion of Jews.
And yet, even with that, I do not think that the term is anti-Semitic.
But, it is something else that is just as bad.
It is misogynistic. It assumes that middle-aged, upper-middle class women have a monopoly over obnoxious, entitled behavior. (Warning and apology: finding a photo for this blog was very difficult. I was aware that any visual image that I could choose would further the stereotype. Still, I relied on a common meme.) peak the night of Aug. 25, two days after Blake was shot, when police said the 17-yearold armed with an illegal semi-automatic rifle shot and killed two protesters in the streets. Since then marches organized both by backers of police and Blake’s family have all been peaceful with no vandalism or destruction to public property.
Biden, all the while, has tried to refocus the race on what has been its defining theme — Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, which has left more than 180,000 Americans dead — after a multi-day onslaught by the president’s team to make the campaign about the violence rattling American cities.
Biden’s wife, Jill, on Tueswhich this country will go. The same is true of our local election. If you’re unsure about current council members running for re-election, go to the City of Hemet website and look at the minutes for the last year or so. See how the council member voted. If you disagree with some of their votes, you may want to do a little more research.
Review the history of our country. I wouldn’t count on reading the civics books the kids bring home from school. Sadly, history is being erased and recreated before our very eyes. Don’t throw away those old college textbooks, dust them off and start reading
Except, there might be a remedy to that.
It happened only recently, but men have figured out that there is a male equivalent -- “Ken.”
And, yes, believe me -- I have met my share of them.
Life is hard enough right now, for everyone.
Don’t be a Karen.
Don’t be a Ken.

During her tour of a Wilmington, Delaware, school, she spoke with teachers and administrators about doubts that in-person learning will actually resume anytime soon and the challenges — including obtaining new small desks and protective equipment to make sure classrooms can handle social distancing — if they do. She said feelings about heading back to school “have turned from excitement into anxiety, and

A final note: when you decide not to vote, you are throwing away your vote, you are throwing away your rights. You are dismissing your responsibility. Regardless of who you vote for or what you vote for, it’s your right. We fought too hard and have lost too many people to have what we have, a true constitutional republic.
See you at the polls!

During her few days as chief spokeswoman, she defended her credentials, sparred with some reporters on Twitter and pushed back against claims that the FDA’s convalescent plasma announcement was influenced by politics.
The FDA spokesperson said Wednesday that FDA communications adviser Michael Felberbaum had stepped into the role previously held by Miller on an acting basis.
