Family Story: This is a cohesive loving family that consists of a single mother and her 3 children. The family relocated to Fremont about 8 years ago after leaving a domestic violent relationship. The parents had their children at a very young age and had no family support. Mom still has little support from her family and works long hours at a job making minimum wage due to not having a formal education. Even though the family is going through challenges, mom is attentive to her children, engaged and supportive. I nominated this family because I know without the generous donations of others; this family would not be able to have gifts for Christmas.
