WE VOLUNTEERS! NATIONAL VOLUNTEER MONTH

April is National Volunteer Month. The Human Services Department and its Age Well Centers rely heavily on volunteers from our community. Many of our programs would be difficult to run if we did not have dedicated, compassionate, and friendly volunteers. Volunteers play a key role in our day to day operations at both Age Well Centers. They help people register for classes, lunches, and trips. They volunteer to clean, prepare hearty meals, and maintain gardens.

Volunteers are valued at the City, in our Age Well Centers, and throughout the community. Without them we could not do what we do! Fremont is diverse and we are fortunate to have volunteers who can speak the languages of our community. The Human Services Department and other agencies are always looking for volunteers. If you want to volunteer stop by the Age Well Centers today!

If you know an adult 55+ that needs support from a volunteer, please call the Senior Infoline at 510.574.2041. If you or a family member are interested in volunteering, contact an agency you admire or go to volunteermatch.org to explore other opportunities. Volunteering gives a great sense of pride and purpose. Volunteer today!
