Need to get to the doctor, grocery store or other community destination? Tri-City seniors (70+ years old) and qualified persons with disabilities can get subsidized rides through the Lyft app on their mobile phone! Ride-On Tri-City!, a program operated by the City of Fremont, provides up to 30 subsidized Lyft rides per month from 8am to 6pm., 7 days a week for rides to and from destinations in Fremont, Newark, and Union City. Participants pay the first $4 of each one-way trip and Ride-On Tri-City! will cover the next $16 of the ride. Participants pay any ride costs above $20 and any driver tips. If you wish to receive subsidies on your Lyft rides, please complete a Ride-On Tri-City! Transportation Services Application. Applications are available at the Age Well Centers or online at www.Fremont.gov/TransportationSvcsAp. If you need help downloading the Lyft app on your Android or Apple phone, volunteers are available to provide technical assistance (in-person appointments) every Wednesday from 2.30 to 4.00pm at the Age Well Center at Lake Elizabeth. You must have your own Android/Apple phone to use this service.
