KEEPING OLDER ADULTS SAFE The City of Fremont Police have a tradition of excellence and work hard to make sure our older residents are safe. Some of the specific programs that are agefriendly include: You Are Not Alone (YANA) is a free telephone reassurance program in which volunteers call enrollees daily (Monday—Friday) to ensure their safety and well-being. Volunteers in Police Services (VIPS) connect with the community in many ways. They help enforce handicapped parking laws, respond to neighborhood requests for patrol checks and provide safety information to the public.
