FAMILY CAREGIVERS: INFORMED AND SUPPORTED Throughout our lives, many of us will care for another person and become a “family caregiver”. In the case of older adults with chronic health problems, this informal care can be substantial in scope, intensity, and duration and can be emotionally, physically, and economically challenging. Caregivers may feel isolated at times but there is no reason to be alone on the journey. Family Caregiver Support Program (FCSP) is offered by Aging and Family Division of City of Fremont’s Human Services Department. This program is available to the residents of the Tri-City area who are at least 60 years old, and/ or are providing care for someone 60 or over and/or to an adult with developmental delays. Services are offered in English and Farsi and can be provided in other languages with the help of a Language Line. • • • • •
