CENSUS 2020 IS HERE
Census 2020 is here! Your count matters! Every ten years the federal government conducts a Census count of the country’s population. This year is the first time the Census is primarily being conducted online, putting our seniors at risk of being undercounted. Children, foreign-born residents, and non-English speakers are also historically undercounted populations. Everyone deserves to be counted in the 2020 Census! The Census data informs the distribution of billions of dollars in federal funding for important services such as healthcare, education, and safety. The Census also determines the number of Congress representatives our community receives. Beginning March 12, households can complete the Census form online or by phone. Starting April 8, 2020 households may complete the Census through a mailed paper form. All Census responses are confidential and protected by law.
