FSC Invites all New Members to a New Member Orientation Tuesday March 6 11am—12pm Did you join the Fremont Senior Center (FSC) within the last 6 months and haven’t plugged in like you would like? Would you like to find out where rooms are located, what programs are offered and more? If so, this Welcome Orientation is just for you! In coordination with CAPS, each month a Welcome Orientation will be held in the lobby of the senior center! The first New Member Orientation will be on Tuesday, March 6th at 11am and we hope you decide to stay for lunch after. Project Sentinel Tuesday March 13 10am—12pm Project Sentinel will have a information table in our lobby. Their primary function is to assist individuals with housing problems such as discrimination, mortgage foreclosure & delinquency, rental issues including repairs, deposits, privacy, dispute resolution, home buyer education, post purchase education and reverse mortgages.

THIS MONTH’S HIGHLIGHT Tri-City Health partners with the Fremont Senior Center on a weekly basis and all services and screenings are completely FREE! Tri-City Health is happy to provide free health services to the community in an effort to help adults 55+ reach their health goals. Appointments must be made in advance, for foot care and cholesterol tests. Call the Senior Center office at 510.790.6600 or stop by between 8am and 3pm to make a health appointment today!

FSC’s New Planter Boxes Fremont’s Eagle Scouts, led by Surya Pugal approached the Fremont Senior Center to help out in some way and complete a service project. The project took a lot of time, planning, approval from the Scout’s unit leader and execution. The FSC is very grateful for the handmade planter box the scouts designed and built. Volunteers like Surya make the community a better place and we are very grateful! Once the box was delivered Garden Club members George and Michelle filled it with soil and succulents and made it absolutely beautiful! Team work makes the dream work and we love our volunteers!
