The National Institute on Aging states that participating in arts activities may be linked to improving cognitive function and memory, while improving one’s self-esteem and well-being. Now is the time to join a music class, join a theater production, dance your socks off, or participate in a creative writing workshop. Twelve Senior Centers in San Francisco studied 400 older adults who participated in a weekly choir program and found reduced feelings of loneliness and increased interest in life. Her unique, thought provoking artwork, has been exhibited throughout North America and regions in Europe.
