The Fremont Senior Center will be closed Monday, February 17 in observance of Presidents’ Day. February Birthday Party February 14 1—2.30pm Wing A Entertainment will be provided by violinist, Yakov Stanislazski.

IT’S TAX TIME!

AARP TAX ASSISTANCE Since 1968, volunteer-based program AARP Foundation Tax-Aide has helped an estimated 50 million low-to moderate-income taxpayers. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide has more than 5,000 locations in neighborhood libraries, malls, banks, community centers and senior centers.

There’s no fee and no sales pitch for other services and AARP membership is not required. The Fremont Senior Center is a location that offers free tax preparation and in 2020 tax assistance will begin on Tuesday, February 4th from 1pm to 4pm. Appointments will also be taken for Thursdays 9am to 2:30pm.

If you have come to the FSC to get your taxes done in the past, stop by between 8am and 3pm to make your appointment or call us at 510. 790.6600.

This service is for adults 50 and older who could benefit from getting their taxes done at no cost!

AARP and the FSC understand that retirement or other life changes may mean taxes are a little more complicated. With the help of AARP Foundation Tax-Aide’s team of IRS-certified volunteers they make it easy for you!

Asha has been a delightful volunteer for the Senior Center for five years.

Asha solicits donations annually for our Crab Feed, volunteers as a hostess on Tuesday mornings, is a CAPS volunteer and also facilitates the FSC’s book club. We are very appreciative for Asha and her tireless volunteerism to the community.
