Olympic Day 2020. za djecu i mlade. Teme izazova ove su godine bili crteži o športu ili športskoj disciplini, opremi, rekvizitima, medaljama te olimpijskim vrijednostima kao što su izvrsnost, prijateljstvo, poštovanje i fair-play. Pozivu HOA-e odazvao se veliki broj djece čiji radovi pristižu i nakon zaključenja ovog broja "Olimpa". Tako se hrvatska olimpijska obitelj pridružila kontinuitetu od 72 godine koliko je prošlo od prve proslave Olimpijskog dana kada su u njoj sudjelovali nacionalni olimpijski odbori Austrije, Belgije, Kanade, Velike Britanije, Grčke, Portugala, Švicarske, Urugvaja i Venezuele.

Marijo Možnik novi predsjednik HGS-a

Vrhunski hrvatski gimnastičar i doktor kinezioloških znanosti Marijo Možnik (33) u svibnju je na Skupštini Hrvatskog gimnastičkog saveza (HGS) izabran za predsjednika saveza. Možnik je tijekom bogate karijere najbolje rezultate ostvario na preči, na kojoj Možnik u društvu je 2015. bio europski prvak, donedavnog predsjednika a 2012. doprvak, dok je na HGS-a Steve Tkalčeca svjetskom prvenstvu 2014. u i glavne tajnice Ive toj disciplini osvojio brončano Murat Koić odličje. Paralelno sa športskom, Možnik je jednako uspješno gradio i znanstvenu karijeru u kojoj je, nakon stjecanja zvanja doktora kinezioloških znanosti, postavljen na mjesto asistenta na Kineziološkom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu. Na mjestu predsjednika HGS-a, Marijo Možnik je naslijedio Stevu Tkalčeca koji se nakon dva iznimno uspješna mandata, tijekom kojih je hrvatska gimnastika iznjedrila dva u svjetskim razmjerima relevantna imena (Ana Đerek i Tin Srbić), nije ni kandidirao za treći mandat.

Kandidatura Kolinde Grabar Kitarović za članicu MOO-a Na prijedlog predsjednika MOO-a Thomasa Bacha, bivša hrvatska predsjednica Kolinda Grabar Kitarović kandidirana je za članicu MOO-a. Na ovu iznimnu i časnu dužnost nominirane su još dvije žene - saudijska princeza Reema Bandar Al-Saud i Kubanka Maria de la Caridad Colón Ruenes te dvojica muškaraca - predsjednik Svjetske atletske federacije Britanac Sebastian Coe i Kolinda Grabar Kitarović Mongolac Battushig i Thomas Bach

The Croatian Olympic Committee and the Korean Sport&Olympic Committee signed an Agreement on Sports Cooperation in May this year. The fouryear agreement, sent from Seoul with the signature of the Korean Sport&Olympic Committee’s President Lee Kee-Heung, was signed in Zagreb by the President of the Croatian Olympic Committee Zlatko Mateša, entering thus the history as the first distance agreement. Namely, although agreed during the visit of the South Korean delegation to Croatia in 2019, the circumstances of COVID-19 prevented two friendly Olympic committees from concluding it in a local configuration. The cooperation involves professional and advisory assistance in several sports, but it is almost certain that one will be in the center of attention - taekwondo - which Koreans want to promote as their national sports in Rijeka, the European Capital of Culture 2020. The agreement with the Korean Sport&Olympic Committee is the 22nd agreement the Croatian Olympic Committee has signed with the National Olympic Committees since 1994. Croatian Olympic Committee and ZSEM in favor of categorized athletes The Croatian Olympic Committee and the Zagreb School of Economics and Management - that received the prestigious international accreditation AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and entered thus the exclusive club of the top 5% of the most outstanding business schools in the world- signed the Agreement on Business Cooperation agreement in May. The Agreement defines modalities of direct cooperation in higher education of categorized female and male athletes, exchange of knowledge in the expert and scientific field and mutual support to student mobility in areas of interest to both institutions. Athlete students at ZSEM (including national team members who have performed at multi-sports events such as the Universiad, the Olympic Games and at World and European Championships), have customized conditions for participation in classes, regardless of whether they are enrolled in full-time or part-time studies. A wide range of dual career programs is tailored to sports obligations of athletes, both for domestic and foreign students, regardless of the specifics of sports system effective in the countries they come from. At this faculty, all categorized athletes of the first, second and third category are entitled to reduction of tuition fee and other appropriate discounts for all four expert studies at the ZSEM: undergraduate studies in Economics and Management, Business Law and Economics, Business Mathematics and Economics and specialist graduate expert study – the Graduate MBA Program.
