Conference Theme Leadership There are many definitions of Leadership but the most common one is that Leadership is a positive process of social influence in which one person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task. Other in-depth definitions of leadership have also emerged, all of which feature a range of themes that should ensure Leadership maintains the highest levels of trust, honesty, integrity and where affected by an austere economic climate, resilience. In more recent times however, Leadership has come under increased scrutiny with a number of high profile scandals, which appear to have been driven from the ‘top down’ leaving some with unwanted attention.
CREATIVITY
It’s important to remember that a leader may not neccessarily have any formal authority with studies of leadership revealing theories involving traits, situational interaction, function, behavior, power, vision and values, charisma and intelligence, but somebody whom people follow or someone who guides or directs others.
