Craftsman Shilpguru Gopal Saini, Who earned country wide fame through his innovation and excellent creation work in the genre of blue pottery craft, was born on 5 September 1963 in jaipur. MA in drawing-painting from Rajasthan Vishwavidyalaya, Shri Saini received intensive training in blue pottery handicrafts from his guru Padma Shri Kripal Singh Shekhawatji for five years and started his workshop in 1993 and took this art to new dimensions. Started giving with your extraordinary talant, where you made possible the difficult task like cutting lattica in blue pottery, You included Harappan carpet motifs in blue pottery as well as miniature illustrations of different styles. He made a picture and set a record by making a 51 - inch high ishwar lot, a symbol of Jaipur architecture. The 25 inch high lattice lamp decorated with miniature paintings of the Mughal style, Which received the National Award, is one of the finest specimens of your art. Saini embellished paintings of Indian raga ragains on a huge vase of 13’ by 29’ inches. The national level Award was presented to you by the presidentof india, In the year 2009 by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, The shilpguru Award was presented in 2016. apart from this, Saini will get the prestigious Maharana of the state level Maharana mewar in 2012.Sajjan singh Award 2013 State level Award of Rajasthan Government, Best Kala Acharya 2020, State Level Maharaj Bhagwant Das Award from cultural institution of Bhopal(mp) in 2015, Honored by Rajasthan Lalit Kala Akademi and honored by many art institutions. Under The Gurushishya tradition , THe Government of India, Ministry oftextile,DC. Trained young handicraftsman in a six-month training camp organized by Handicraft, gave one month training to the trainers sent by Madhya Pradesh Matikala board. Rajasthan School of art college, Chandigarh Art college, IICD Jaipur, organizing college, purnima college, Ahemdabad N.I.D college. In addition, about 10000 students from Germany, Japan, America, England, etc. were given training in Blue pottery. He exhibited his are on behalf of the Government of India by visiting trade fairs and workshops such as iceland, istanbul(Turkey), Bogota(South America). he introduced the accomplished craftsman by s=displaying the blue pottery of Jaipur at The Santa Fair held in Numexico(U.S.A) Saini also exhibited his art in many cities including Delhi, Mumbai,bGwalioer, Ahemdabad, Kolkata etc.

Many of his works are stored in government and private museums, many short films have been made on blue pottery. short film made by Discovery Channel, Doordarshan and many private museums about you artworks are telecasted from time to time.A dissertation on his personality and creativity has also been presented in Agra University. From time to time, discussions about Saini and his art work have been published in natinal and international magazines.
