Each year a print illustrating a Highlands Ranch image is created. This year’s print is “Windmill in the Ranch”, painted by Mary Elliott. Signed limited edition prints will be on sale during the wine tasting. There is no charge to attend the festival. Come to the wine tasting tent on August 6 at the Arts Festival to cool off! Spend your afternoon tasting refreshing wine varietals from Highlands WineSeller, sampling delicious appetizers from Vi at Highlands Ranch (formerly Classic Hyatt), while listening to music. out our Event Calendar at www.hrcaonline.org to stay on top of all our fun community activities coming up in Highlands Ranch during the second half of the summer, including the Arts Festival and Film in the Park this month. The outdoor pools are a favorite hangout for families on hot summer days, at least until the thunder rumbles during the monsoon season! Please remember to stay within arm’s length of all your swimmers as they quickly venture into deeper waters and need to be assisted. Lifeguards are always quick to respond, but appreciate a parent’s watchful eye and close proximity. We want everyone’s pool experience to be nothing but fun! We recently received a copy of an article from the Denver Post from a member about a campaign that another county is kicking off to make residents aware of a dog problem that is common to our community as well. The campaign is called “There is No Poop Fairy”, a push to help people understand that no one else is going to take care of your pet’s waste with the wave of a wand and it doesn’t just go away on its own. It is a quality of life issue, so please take a baggie along on your walks, keep your pets off other people’s lawns as you go, and take care of “business” as it happens. Thanks for taking
