CENTENNIAL WATER IMPLEMENTS STAGE 1 DROUGHT RESTRICTIONS The Centennial Water Board of Directors approved moving into Stage 1 drought restrictions at a Special Board of Directors meeting held July 6. This includes the communities of Highlands Ranch, Solstice and Northern Douglas County Water & Sanitation District. The goal of Stage 1 restrictions is to reduce outdoor water use by 15% to 20%. Watering restrictions will begin Wednesday, July 20. In its 40+ year history, Centennial Water has been very proactive in securing water resources and storage rights to ensure the community is well served into the future. Centennial Water staff and board members have kept a close eye on drought conditions and as conditions continue to be warmer and drier than normal, the board made the decision to move from Drought Watch into Stage 1 restrictions. To learn more, visit the Drought Resource Center on Centennial Water’s website at centennialwater.org/drought. New Watering Schedule: Sunday & Wednesday: Odd-number addresses single family and small multi-family Saturday & Tuesday: Even-number addresses single family and small multi-family Monday & Thursday: Multi-family and apartment properties Any days of the week in compliance with water budget: Parks, schools and properties managed for sole enjoyment, and recreation of the public
