Koza Baptist Sends Group of Twenty to the Philippines
By Cory Cloud

Koza Baptist Church in Okinawa recently took twenty people on mission to Gentle Hands Orphanage in Baliwag, Philippines. Like most mission trips the group started out with a plan, but God often steered the itinerary in surprising ways. Ephesians 4:16 was on full display as God used people’s strengths to minister to the orphanageʻs children and staff. The group led Bible studies, played games, did crafts, and had a ladies spa night. One of the highlights of the trip was the nightly worship where the orphans would sing their hearts out to God, confessing their love for Him and their trust in Him for their future.
Calvary International Bangkok Partners with Mahima Baptist in Nepal
By John Blackmon

In April, a team from Calvary International Baptist Church, Bangkok (CIBC) had an opportunity to work with a partner ministry near Kathmandu, Nepal. CIBC’s relationship with Mahima Baptist Church began several years ago through the former pastor of the Calvary Nepali ministry, Shyam Khatri. Pastor Shyam is the founding pastor of Mahima Baptist, a Bible school, and a children’s home: Abba’s House.
Pastors Martin Chappell and John Blackmon led a theological training geared towards village pastors being sent out by the church. These “missionary pastors” serve in difficult and severely under-reached regions of Nepal. The whole team encouraged the children of Abba’s House throughout the week, and the ladies of the team led a special afternoon session for the women reminding them of their value in the eyes of the Creator.
This is CIBC’s third partner trip with this ministry, and they look forward to other opportunities in the years to come.
