Hawaii Christian Baptist Celebrates Anniversary

On Sunday afternoon, June 4, Hawaii Christian Baptist Church (HCBC) celebrated sixteen years of ministry. Pastor Rudy Gomintong shared that HCBC moved online for an extended time when their former worship location, Waikele Community Park, closed to them in 2020 under pandemic restrictions. They restarted in-person worship at the Lanakila

Baptist Church worship center in Waipahu and have seen growth and life. Sister churches participated, including Word of Truth and Waipahu Community Christian Church. Craig Webb, HPBC Assistant Executive Director, brought greetings and preached.

Waiakea Baptist Dedicates New Property

Church members of Waiakea Baptist Bible Church (WBBC) in Hilo dedicated and celebrated the purchase of their new church property on April 23. The property, which includes three buildings, was purchased earlier this year. Founding Pastor Ian Sakai and Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention's Robert Miller spoke at the special event. WBBC continues the search for their next pastor.

Living Faith Holds Easter Outreach at Local Park

Living Faith welcomed 140 children and 60 guardians to an Easter Egg Hunt Outreach event at Beretania Community Park. Your gifts through the Sue Nishikawa Offering for Hawaii Pacific Missions helped to provide resources for this event. Phillip Barr is the pastor.

Pawa'a Community Church / BCM Holds Baptism

On May 10, Pawa'a Community Church, in partnership with Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM), celebrated the baptism of college students Yaa Baker and Ashley Smith at Queens Beach, Waikiki. Church members and families were able to join the baptism online.

Pastor Joins Medical Dental Team for Philippine Mission

Pastor Jerry Saludez of Waipio Community Baptist participated in the Aloha Medical Mission Dental Team May 1-5 in Kayapa Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines. This same Medical Dental team is part of the Waipio Community Baptist Seafarer's Ministry.

Hāmama Hosts Ku'i Night at Local School

Hāmama Community Church on Oahu hosted an 'Ohana Ku'i Night at Kahalu'u Elementary School. Twenty families came out and learned to clean and pound kalo (the Hawaiian word for taro) together. Hāmama's pastor, Ikaika Higa, and the school children had planted, nurtured, and harvested this kalo. Pray for Pastor Ikaika and his wife, Stacey, and their church leadership as they minister to their community.

Himeji Baptist Holds Outreach Event

On Sunday, June 4, Himeji Baptist Church, Japan, held an outdoor worship service at Himeji Park below the world heritage site, Himeji Castle. Several new families joined in worship and heard the gospel. Church ministries offered fun activities for different age groups.
