1 Make yourself comfortable You’re on your daily commute to work, going to work or coming back, or simply on a journey from A to B. Public transports can be noisy and stressful but you feel like you need to simply disconnect. It may sound uneasy to do in this environment, so let How To Spa show you how to do it.

Start by getting comfortable, breathe slowly and deeply, look at the landscapes going past if you can or close your eyes if you’re underground and try and think of nice things, or moments, like your last holidays for example. For you to feel warm and comfortable, you can put your scarf or a shawl on your legs. You can put on your earphones and listen to some relaxing music, it will help you get into a bubble. We advise you to download: «80 minutes of Music Reiki» on your iPhone (also available on Deezer), or through these websites : https:// www.massage-zen-therapie.com/radio-zen or https://www.musique-zen.fr.

Relaxation

Before you start, if you feel it’s needed, it’s best to wash your hands or use hand wipes for hygiene purposes. 10 mn You can apply some perfumed oil (advised product «Lâcher- Prise» from 100Bon) on your temples and wrists. You can use essential oils to create a relaxing scented atmosphere. A few drops on your scarf can help (product advised from Vie Arôme).

This self-massage helps relaxing your muscles and joints while nourishing your skin on your hands. If you feel like it, you can also meditate while doing it. Start by applying some hand cream (advised product Light cream with flax gel and prune oil from Cozie) and gently massage your hands and wrists. Relax your joints by rotating your wrists clockwise and then anti-clock wise. • BACK OF THE HANDS Place your left hand thumb on the back of your right hand, massage your joints and bones from the base of your fingers to your wrist using circular movements. Now following the same line (base of the fingers to the wrist) rub the back of your hand insisting on the spaces between the bones. Now do the same for the other hand. • WRISTS Spend enough time massaging your wrists well. With one hand, grab your opposite wrist, making a bracelet around it, and rotate your wrist. Move the “bracelet” from your wrist to the base of your forearm, rubbing the skin more firmly so that it warms up the area and relaxes the joint. Now do the same for the other wrist.

• FINGERS Grab each finger of one hand between the thumb and the rest of the fingers of the opposite hand. Massage one finger at a time from the base to the tip. At the tip, press firmly each side of the nail, grabbing it between thumb and index. Spend enough time massaging the space between your fingers with your thumbs, along the base of your fingers, on your palms. Now repeat on the other hand. • PALMS Place the back of your right hand in the palm of your left hand; that way, you can massage your right palm between the thumb of your left hand and the other fingers. Insist on your right thumb muscle, at the base of your palm. Now do the same for the other hand. • FINGERS Finish this self-massage by gently and slowly massaging each finger of each hand, from the base to the tip, using circular movements while stretching them at the same time.

3 The post-massage time: as long as you need or wish! Now is time to reconnect slowly with the outside world. Open your eyes again, take off your earphones or headphones. If you carry a thermos or a take away mug with you, you can enjoy a hot drink (products advised: Mandala reusable cup ; Vallée du Nil tea from Nunshen; Morphée infusion from Chic Des Plantes). A book that our team recommends for a better daily life: the book of Hygge. Please let us know and share your impressions on social networks. Your next step?
