The Howe Lady Bulldogs fell to Leonard on Tuesday in three sets by scores of 25-18, 25-19, and 25-16. Kendall Griffin led Howe with 10 kills while Teagan Stubblefield had nine digs and Korie Bouse had 11 assists.

On Friday, Pottsboro beat Howe 3-0 by scores of 25-11, 25-12, and 25-13. Stubblefield had five digs to lead the Lady Bulldogs.

mon with the Christian faith of today’s community and how it must reflect the new growth coming to the area in the near future. Tidwell, in pure Roger Tidwell fashion, had a bottled water delivered to him by one of the Baptist members in which he told the audience he wished it had come from one of the Methodist members as it might have had more of a kick to it.

Rocky Crigler, pastor of Howe Church on the Square, was to sing “I Can Only Imagine,” but an emergency took him from the service. The praise team finished out the service and the closing prayer was from Hettrick.

On Thursday evening, Legend Bank sponsored a Chamber Dinner and Howe Historical Theater. Gabriela’s Mexican Cocina catered the event. About 60 were in attendance for the performance from Howe ISD Theater students portraying Howe historical figures. The cast was Ethan Strunc (L.B. Kirby and Elmer Schenk), Hayden Adkins (Mame Roberts), Ayden Burris (Steve Simmons and Charles R. Thompson), Riley Troxtell (Jabez Haning), Gabrielle Smith (A.M. Ferguson), Kimberley Gonzales (Jean Norman), Jay Hill (Tony Brinkley), Kris Phillips (W.P. Thompson), Lucas Reese (Arthur Boyle), Audie Martin (Norma Wallace), and Lily Lafoy (Carrie Waller).
