Decisions regarding payment for school meals are made at the nationalgovernment level, not by the school nutrition team or TDA. The dedicated staff at Howe ISD is looking forward to serving healthy, balanced meals to students in the new school year. These meals, whether paid, free, or reducedprice, offer a good source of nutrition for children.

Applications may be submitted anytime during the school year. The information households provide on the application will be used for the purpose of determining eligibility. Applications may also be verified by the school officials at any time during the school year.

If a household member becomes unemployed or if the household size increases, the household should contact the school. Such changes may make the children of the household eligible for benefits if the household’s income falls at or below the attached current income eligibility guidelines. In the operation of child feeding programs, no child will be discriminated against because of race, sex, color, national origin, age, or disability. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. The Howe Athletic Booster Club’s biggest fund raiser of the year has officially begun. They are now opening up sponsor opportunities for their annual football program. Last year’s edition was 92 pages and is filled with not only rosters and schedules, but is filled with stories, stats, and photos of all fall sports teams.

Businesses that want to place an ad in the program have several options. A full page ad comes with a banner hung at the stadium and is moved to the high school gymnasium after the season. Full page ads with a banner are $475. Half page ads are $200, Quarter page ads are $150 and 1/8 page ads are $75.

Student ads are a very popular item and a full page student ad is $150, half page $100, Quarter page is $75, and 1/8 page is $60.
