The Howe Lady Bulldogs have enjoyed many years of success in the golf program. In the district meet last week, the young team finished one stroke behind Whitewright which kept them from the regional tournament.

Gunter finished first in district with a team score of 368. Whitewright shot a combined 477 while Howe finished at 478.
Howe’s Olivia Morris led the Lady Bulldogs with a score of 115. Teammates Emma Hitesman and Caytie Coco each finished at 120. Freshman Mia Wilson, in her first district tournament, shot a 123 and Riley Troxtell shot a 125. Kaleigh Capps finished at 130 for Howe.
Individual regional qualifiers were Alli Reilly (72) and Jordyn Hampton (95), both of Pottsboro.
The boys finished fifth in district play with an overall score of 420. Gunter boys also won district with a score of 342 with Bells behind them at 369. They will both advance to the regional round. Howe was led by Talan Haley, who finished sixth overall by shooting an 89. Colton Little finished with a score of 106. Gage Troxtell shot a 115 while Austin Adams shot a 116. Ethan Chitty finished Howe’s scoring with a 125.
