City of Howe Sales Tax
Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced Wednesday he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $913.3 million in local sales tax allocations for March, 19.8 percent more than in March 2021. These allocations are based on sales made in January by businesses that report tax monthly.
The City of Howe’s portion of $38,824.62 was down from the all time record-high of $56,677.50 last month but is 12.24 percent ahead of the same month a year ago. This year’s total is the second-highest March total in the city’s history behind only the 2019 figure of $40,063.73.
