Texoma Home Educators, a local homeschool team, took first place in the BEST Robotics competition in Trenton on Oct 29-30. Twentyfive teams from across North Texas competed in four categories robot performance, documenting their engineering / design process, giving a marketing presentation, and constructing and staffing an exhibit booth. Texoma Home Educators took first place in the exhibit booth competition, and the first place overall BEST award.
Robert Williams, the team’s coach, said “This was an extremely challenging year for our team. We have sixteen students this Production from the first new fab is expected as early as 2025. The new fabs will complement TI’s existing 300-mm fabs which include DMOS6 (Dallas, Texas), RFAB1 and the soon-to-becompleted RFAB2 (both in Richardson, Texas), which is expected to start production in the second half of 2022. Additionally, LFAB (Lehi, Utah), which TI recently acquired, is expected to begin production in early 2023.

mum lease and a $10 per additional hour fee for citizens of Howe and non-profit clubs and organizations on Monday through Friday. The rate will be bumped up to $100 per hour (4-hour minimum) for Saturdays and Sundays.
For non-Howe citizens and forprofit businesses, a $100 rate will be assessed for Monday through Friday and $125 for Saturday and Sunday.
Deposits will range from $100 to $250 depending on the day of the week and whether alcohol will be involved in the event.
Any event that has alcohol present will require at least one, but no more than two police officers at the cost of and expense of the renter/lessee. The city or Howe Police Department may require two officers based upon the type of event and or number of persons expected. The fee for the officers is $45 per hour per officer with a minimum of two hours. Summit Gardens has had 47 events in 2021, 10 of which were weddings. With the Howe Area Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development offices moving to Summit Gardens, the wedding number will decrease in 2022 due to the lack of a dedicated bride’s changing room, however, the vast majority of events were baby showers, wedding showers, luncheons, birthday parties, and reunions which are all still available.
Upcoming events left in 2021 include two business meetings, several chamber events, baby shower, and two Christmas parties. Two baby showers are already planned in the first quarter of 2022.
