Renfro says that most farmers are waiting to get started cutting wheat and that is on the verge of being ready to cut.
“With all the excess moisture we’ve been getting from the rain the wheat is on the threshold of sprouting and the quality will be not as good,” said Renfro. “That being said it hurts us for being able to sell it and get a fair market price.” As much rain as we’ve had lately, it still doesn't compare to 2015.
