Doors flew open for the first time for a lot of businesses on Friday. One local restaurant was slinging piping hot pizza to their customers again. Palio’s Pizza Café on Haning Street moved some of their tables outdoors to accommodate for the new guidelines set forth by Texas Governor Greg Abbott last for Phase One of the Open Texas program. During the mandated social distancing period, restaurants were forced to close their dining rooms and become creative in order to stay in business. (Continued on page 4)

Howe sees first COVID-19 case 95.2 percent of Grayson County COVID-19 tests have been negative; 31 active cases and 18 recoveries As the number of tests increase throughout Grayson County, the numbers of positive tests will also increase. Howe Mayor Bill French informed the Enterprise on Friday that one of Howe’s citizens became the first of our fair burg to test positive for COVID-19. Over 1,000 tests have been administered resulting in a total of 49 total cases in Grayson County, of which 18 have recovered leaving 31 active cases here.
currently is 0.048 per test (or 4.8 percent). The flip side of that number means that 95.2 percent of those taking the test have resulted in a negative outcome. Fortunately, at this time, there have been no deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Grayson County. But there has been loads of fear caused by the pandemic. Each positive case is trumpeted through the social media world setting off debate after debate of COVID-19 from health to economics.
