"With a united effort we can make the place in which we live clean, wholesome, attractive. We can make the crowded city dweller homesick to come back to us and real living. We can bring new life, new business, new beauty, to the little towns." - Mame Roberts

The next meeting of the Texoma Patriots is tonight, March 9, Monday, 7 p.m. The speaker is SMU Professor Dr. Robert Lawson. The Patriots will meet at 903 Brewers, 1718 S. Elm St, Sherman.
Socialism Sucks is the title of Dr Lawson's talk. Two semi-sober economists have toured the socialist world so you don’t have to. And they’ve come back with this stunning report - Socialism Sucks. It’s a fun talk on the serious topic of Socialism. His book Socialism Sucks will be for sale - cost $25. Cash, checks, or credit cards are accepted for payment. The restaurant will not be open. Everyone is welcome. There is no charge to attend.
Why are so many Americans— young and old—flocking to the socialist banner and chanting, “What do we want? Socialism— the economic system that has impoverished people everywhere and resulted in the deaths of tens of millions! And when do we want it? Now!”
Robert Lawson holds the Fullinwider Chair in Economic Freedom and directs the O’Neill Center at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. Dr. Lawson is a founding coauthor of the widely-cited Economic Freedom of the World index and has written more than one hundred academic articles, book chapters, policy reports, and book reviews.
