Overnight burglary at Quick Check in Howe

The windows in the front door of Quick Check in Howe were broken at approximately 2:15 am Thursday morning where intruders penetrated the business and walked away with approximately 50-55 cartons of cigarettes according to the store manager

There are many ways you can reduce your carbon footprint and the pollution you create In this article I will discuss the simplest ways to do this First and foremost it is important to know what a “carbon footprint” is Your carbon footprint is the emissions of greenhouse gases that are resulted in your everyday decisions The emission of these gases negatively impacts both humans and wildlife

Understanding why you need to reduce your footprint is the next step By reducing your carbon footprint you are essentially reducing the affects you create that lead to climate change and global warming

Now to get into how to actually take action in reducing your footprint While there are many ways to do this such as switching to solar energy, or investing in an energy efficient vehicle You do not have to make big purchases to make a difference Let’s discuss the everyday actions you can take to help our environment You can start by conserving the water you use. Taking shorter showers and turning the faucet off when not in use are easy ways to greatly reduce your carbon footprint You have heard it time and time again, but turning out the lights when you are not using them can actually help a lot in reducing your carbon footprint Cars are a major source of the emission of greenhouse gases, possibly the worst of all With that being said, carpooling when possible is one of the best and easiest ways to help the environment Deciding to walk or bike if possible are also great options

When it comes to pollution, plastic is the worst contender Most of the plastic we use ends up in the ocean hurting the sea animals who live there Plastic shopping bags are among the worst, and is actually very easy to reduce your usage of Switching to reusable shopping bags is a simple way to reduce the plastic you use every day Taking a few minutes out of your day to pick up the trash in your yard can also make a huge difference for our planet

Now that you are aware of how important reducing your carbon footprint is, and how easy it can be, one of the most important things you can do is inform others! Tell others how they can make a difference for our environment After all, there is no Planet B.
