Eagle project has landed in Howe

TJ Knight, an incoming senior at Howe High School just completed his Eagle project for the Boy Scouts His project is a clothing drop box for Peggy's Porch which is located adjacent from the drop box location

In years past Boy Scouts built flower beds and Adam Gregg put up the roofing for the porch for them to have somewhere to put the bags of donated clothes, however the weather still damaged some of the clothing items

It was suggested by Becky Hogenson that the Scouts create a box for the clothing items

"We came out here, poured the powder ourselves, laid the rebar, and went to North Carolina to pick up the box," said Knight

As of Friday, Knight was anchoring it down and are in the process of labeling the box "It's going to say, 'Dedicated to Mrs Peggy' and it will have TJ Knight's BSA Troop 45 Eagle Scout Project And I still have to talk to Mrs Hogenson to see what she wants on there," said Knight

The box is located directly across from the drive-through window at City Hall
