At 2 pm, the fifth and sixth grade Dogs faced Blue Ridge who came into the game, 8-1 and outscored their opponents by a hefty margin Howe won the coin toss and elected to defer The Dogs defense forced a turnover on downs and Howe offense quickly moved the ball down the field with runs by Braden Ulmer and Cooper Jones Ulmer eventually scored from the two yard line to cap off the 4-play drive

On the first play of the second quarter, Howe quarterback Jacob Campbell scored on a 49-yard naked bootleg to give Howe the 12-0 lead

Howe again forced a turnover on downs which set up another big drive led again by long runs by Jones and Ulmer The touchdown came on a 7-yarder by Ulmer who showed great second-effort to get in Howe led 19-0 after the Marshall Larsen PAT run

Blue Ridge connected on a 62-yard pass to Christian Walker to give the Tigers their first points againt Howe in six quarters The PAT was unsuccessful and Howe clung to a 19-6 lead with 1:23 left before the half

Campbell to Jones to give Howe the 25-6 lead with one second remaining in the half

Howe took the ball to start the second half and turned it over on downs deep in Blue Ridge territory However, Blue Ridge's pass on first down was intercepted by Rowdy Kuykendall who returned it 33 yards for the touchdown and a Howe 32-6 lead after Campbell ran in the 1-point conversion

The Tigers running back, Walker, raced around the right side for 52 yards and a score to narrow the Howe lead, 32-12

Headed to the fourth quarter, big runs by Campbell and Garren Lankford set up Howe's final score, a 17-yard score by Jesse Portman right up the middle Portman also ran in the point after and Howe led, 39-12 with 4:32 left in the game

Walker, of the Tigers answered back with his third touchdown of the game moments later to narrow the Howe lead to 32-19 with 4:07 left

Howe took the ball back and killed the clock with runs by Kolin Murphy and Ashton Trevino as the team celebrated with their 39-19 win to finish the season with a perfect 10-0 record. The team outscored their opponents this season, 321-33

The win for the fifth and sixth grade was the third time they have won the Super Bowl as a group The team also finished with a 29-game winning streak

Coaches of both teams want to thank the parents for their support throughout the entire season and many seasons as well as all of the cheerleaders for their hard work and support throughout the years
