Torrey Stubblefield tripled to left which brought home Peyton Streetman and Madisyn Hargrove to tie the game at five A batter later, Kayla Anderson drove in the go-ahead run on a single to short Hooks tied the game, 6-6, in the top of the sixth inning, but Howe regained the lead in the bottom half when Streetman reached on an error that allowed Kamryn Fulenchek to score Howe led 7-6 which turned out to be the final score

Stubblefield earned the win for Lady Bulldogs as she tossed all seven innings, surrendering six runs, eight hits, and striking out six She also was the leading hitter, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored Streetman, Anderson, and Fulenchek all had multi-hit games for Howe

Madisyn Hargrove stepped in the circle for game two of the series and a chance to win and clinch Things look like they were in cruise control in the top of the third as Howe took a commanding 6-0 lead But Hooks rallied for a 7-run bottom of the third inning and turned the game around The Lady Bulldogs answered back quickly with a run in the fourth to tie the game at seven, but Hooks added five more runs in the fourth and fifth innings combined to take a 12-7 lead to the final frame.

The Lady Bulldogs showed great composure and a sense of "neversay-die" as the tacked on three runs in the top of the seventh inning to narrow the game to 12-10 Erin Blackburn got a pitch she liked and drove it out of the park for a 3-run dinger, but the rally was ended when Streetman was struck out to end the game.

Hooks hit for the cycle in four batters in the third inning which prompted a pitching change from Hargrove to Stubblefield Hargove went two and a third innings, allowing five runs, five hits, striking out two, and not allowing any walks In relief, Stubblefield went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering seven runs, six hits, and striking out four

With both of Howe's pitchers having to throw a lot of pitches, game three of the series looked as if it could be a slugfest But Hargrove was nearly flawless in her pitching performance in the door-die game She threw seven innings, surrendering one run, three hits, striking out six, and walking none Payton Griffin had a big game at the plate with a single and a triple, a run scored, and an RBI Fulenchek also had a two-hit game Stubblefield led Howe with two RBI in the final game of the series

The series with Hughes Springs will be played at Texas A&M Commerce Likely days are Thursday and Saturday night
