Ponder won the coin toss and elected to defer to the second half. Howe took the ball and immediately went 55 yards on four plays and capped off a 1:49 drive that saw quarterback Brandon Wall connect on a 39-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Grisham Last week's PAT issues were a big thing of the past and Brice Honaker's kick was the first of all successful beautiful kicks Howe led Ponder, 7-0 with 10:21 left in the first quarter

Howe wasted no time in getting the ball back as Nick Wilson intercepted his third pass of the year which gave the 'Dogs the ball at the Lions 46 yard line with 5:59 left in the first. Cooper Akins would score several plays later from the 2-yard-line and Howe led 14-0 with 1:41 left in the first.

Ponder 22 yard line Grisham would score his first rushing touchdown of the night from the 11 yard line Howe led 21-0 with just 14 minutes gone in the game

Howe's defense would dominate again and force Ponder to punt. A 15-yard punt gave Howe the ball at their own 36. Grisham would cap off a 2:37 drive with a 4-yard touchdown. Howe led 28-0 with 5:17 left before half.

After a zero yard punt by Ponder, Howe took the ball at their own 47 yard line and would take the ball down the field in 1:20 Jaden Matthews scored on a 4-yard touchdown and Howe extended their lead to 35-0 which would eventually become the halftime score

Ponder started the second half moving the ball well for the first time in the game, however, the drive stalled out at the Bulldog 10 yard line and Howe took over there. A 90-yard drive that took most of the third quarter resulted in a Grisham 2-yard touchdown. Howe's lead was extended to 42-0 with 3:45 left in the third quarter.

Ponder would yet again punt to Howe, who took the ball at their own 46 yard line with only 28 seconds left in the third Grisham quickly carried for 48 of the 54 yard drive with a long touchdown just as Howe entered the fourth quarter. The lead went to 49-0 which became the final.

The Bulldogs dominated Ponder in every way imaginable Ponder's special teams problems didn't help their cause on the field Friday, but Howe was by far superior even to a pefect game played by Ponder

This sets up a Texoma classic matchup of two unbeaten teams in Howe and Pottsboro this Friday night Pottsboro leads the overall series with Howe 16-10-1 The last time Howe beat Pottsboro was in 2010 Howe's last win at Pottsboro came in 1988

Grisham carried 14 times for 182 yards Stratton Carroll added 8 carries for 70 yards Others were Akins (4-45), Matthews (9-33), Brent Masters (8-23), Wall (2-18), Dylan Moreau (4-15) and Zach Braswell (1-0).

Wall completed 1 of 2 passes for 39 yards

Grisham's five touchdowns ties Anthony Hawthorne (11/21/2014), Joel Farris (10/28/2005), Nathaniel Falls (10/24/1997), Brian Ross (10/30/1987), Paul Trotter (10/18/1968), Jimmy Watson (9/22/1967), and Billy Bryant Cloud (11/27/1936) for the most in one game

Howe is now ranked #10 in Class 3A, Division II
