Head Coach Adam Rupert once again called on his freshman hurler, Stubblefield, who had thrown 207 pitches just two days prior, to start the most important game in Howe High School softball history.

The lead changed seven times in this game and Brock came back in the bottom of the fourth and scored after a leadoff triple The game went to the fifth inning tied at three
Howe regained the lead in the fifth inning when freshman Peyton Streetman scored on an error by the Brock catcher Howe's 4-3 lead would remain intact through the sixth inning.

Several questionable calls drew Howe Head Coach Adam Rupert to dispute the umpire, which led to his eventual ejection Howe Athletic
Director Zack Hudson entered the dugout and finished the game coaching first base as Assistant Coach Jordan Dusek finished out the game coaching third
Howe added to the lead in the seventh inning when Tinney drove in Sanders with a double Anderson doubled home Streetman and Tinney to give Howe what seemed like a comfortable 7-3 lead going into the bottom of the seventh needing just three outs to advance
Brock led off with a single, stole second and later scored on a double to make it 7-4 with two outs.
