Major Vaughn

"Another quote he says is 'Stay tuned."'

Major Vaughn

Dr. Vanorden at bat on May 8, 1976 in the HMS win against Lakeland 4-3.

"Duane Vanorden should be known as a guy that loves our school very much. He is a person that leads by example and is very warm and friendly. Duane loves sports and is a dedicated coach. However, I believe he could get lost trying to navigate his way out of his own driveway. I'm sure that most of the athletes that have played for him at one point or another could recount a time that he got lost on the way to an away game, regardless of how good the directions were that were given to him. Duane loves to give out gag gifts at Old Guard dinner and some day I would give him a GPS system if I thought it would help him! I'm sure that I am one of many that consider it a privilege to have been associated with him throughout his tenure at Howe. Thank you for all the good times and laughs. 11

Everyone enjoyed the roaring fire while watching the toboggans.

Braving the toboggan run.

The Lower School spent a fun filled day at Pokagon State Park in Angola, Indiana on January 18, 2010. Activities included snowshoeing, visiting the animal museum, holding snakes, learning about local deer life, lunch in the great outdoors, and capping it all off with tobogganing. A cold day but a fun day!

...

Jen and Cory from Science Central of Fort Wayne, Indiana brought small sharks for the entire Lower School to examine, weigh, measure and dissect.

'The Wildcat baseball team completed a 7-9 season. The Wildcats beat Keystone 12-0 in the first round of the sectionals. This team improved a lot and I was very proud of how far we came this year as a team. I will certainly remember this team and what we accomplished for many years to come. 11
