SENIOR ARMY INSTRUCTOR Colonel George Douglass
MESSAGE TO THE CLASS OF 1994 Each and everyone of you has made a positive impression on me, some greater than others. In your individual ways you have taught me many things. But, that is all in the past. The time is now 29 May 1994. Get out there and make Howe proud of you . Never loose the desire to exploit your full potential or your sense of humor for both will keep you in good stead. I look forwar d to the day when I shall learn of your accomplishments and be able to say with pride, "I knew that cadet."
5
PRINCIPAL JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL Ja.Dles E. Malerich To the Class of 1994, As you challenge the journey to success, a gentle reminder may be in order: "Success depends on three things: who says it, what he says, and how he says it. Of those three things, what he says is the least important." I wish you all success!
HEADMASTER

DAY 1993 72
FOUNDER'S DAY WEEKEND by Marcus Grinwis Founder's Day is a big weekend at Howe Military School. It is the time when we celebrate the founding of this school. These days are fun for everyone: cadets, pare:q.ts, friends and staff. Since it takes place in early autumn, Founder's really helps build community for the coming school year. This year's Founder's Day was full of events. On Friday night we ate together and then went for a comedy show at Bouton Auditorium. Saturday was the day for the Company Drill Competition, the parade, a time with parents, and last but not least, the banquet and ball at the Century Center. At the Century Center we honored the seniors during the Senior Ring Ceremony.

BOAR'S HEAD DINNER by Darek Williams
The Boar's Head Dinner is the night when we celebrate Christmu together with many people from the community. With carols, costumes, jesters, lights, and the bringing-in of the boar's head, we carry on the ancient English tradition of v.ielcoming the holiday seuon. It hu been this very tradition with which Howe students have celebrated Christmas for over a hundred years.

MOTHER'S DAY by Carlos Jackson Mother's Day is Howe's last big celebration before graduation and the end of the school year. This year's Mother's Day weekend included the school play, tower-repelling demonstrations, a church service, an awards ceremony, parent-teacher conferenQeS and the big dinner and ball at the Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne. At this dinner the seniors were honored and given their senior blankets. Mother's Day began here at Howe as a time for the cadets to pay respect to their mothers. We are proud to carry on this tradition today.

This year's play, Our Town by Thorton Wilder, was a great success. Directed by Major Baker, this production featured many cadets who had not been seen in our spotlight before. These cadets were assisted in their performances by Ms. Price, Mrs. Burnham, Mrs. Newby and Mrs. Busch. Two performances were held: one for a local school group and the other for students, parents and guests. Both efforts ended with cheers.

TO NORTHERN INDIANA'S MOST CHARMING BED & BREAKFAST FARMSTEAD Think back to your first treasured stories of the farmyour little animal friends, the rolling pastures ... Drive up the curving lane to the farmhouse. Enter a soothing, refreshing world ... Bright posies border the walks, bluebirds nest, miniature horses and tiny goats graze, and hens strut in the barnyard while you watch from the front porch or the gazebo. After a good night's rest in your cozy room, enjoy Ruth's homemade muffins, breakfasting on the sunshiney porch amid ferns and antique white wicker. Among dolls, wagons, teddies, and the Raggedies and their quilts, escape to your childhood, dreaming or just relaxing in a snug corner of a home filled with Ruth's antique toys. In the evening, relax in quiet broken only by the sounds of Nature and the clip-clop of horses as they draw buggies past on the road nearby.
