Thespians

The ancient Greeks invented theater, and the first actor was supposedly named Thespis. All ''theater people'' are called Thespians after him. Howe's Troupe # 740 of the International Thespian Society has been an active club this year, meeting about every other week. The club hopes to organize a talent show for the corps each year and to produce one play each year. This year's officers are McKnight, president; Long, C. , vice president; Leonetti, secretary: Nwokedi, treasurer. The faculty advisor is Mr. Thackara.

Glee Club

The Glee Club is a group of Cadets who like to sing. The ability to read music is not required, but a reasonably good "ear" is necessary. The Glee Club tries to perform at the Spring Band Concert and at the Boar's Head Festival just before Christmas vacation.

National Federation of Students of German

The newly-organized Howe chapter of the National Federation of Students of German has been active during this year and hopes to begin more activities next year. The club met at the language table one Tuesday each month and sponsored a trip to Chicago's Germantown in April. Mr. Thackara is the Advisor for the club.
