"If our friendship depends on things like space and time, then when we finally overcome space and time, we've destroyed our own brotherhood! But overcome space, and all we have left is Here. Overcome time, and all we have left is Now. And in the middle of Here and Now, don't you think that we might see each other once or twice? " --Richard Bach

Well, the dawn was coming, I heard him singing on my back. He said my name's teacher, That is what I call myself. And I have a lesson That I must impart to you. It's an old expression, But I must insist it's true. Ian Anderson

But as he descended the hill, a sadness came upon him, and he thought in his heart: Long were the days of pain I have spent within its walls, and long were the nights of aloneness; and who can depart from his pain and his aloneness without regret? How shall I go in peace and without sorrow? Nay, not without a wound in the spirit shall I leave this city. --Kahil Gibran The Prophet

~pilogue-
We are children of the universe, born with the right to live, to learn, to be awakened and to awake. We come to Howe and experience several of these forces in combined action. It becomes a part of us as we become a part of Howe. Indeed, every action and thought of each individual here composed the personality of Howe. Our years here can not be considered negligible in the makeup and development of our lives. It is a preparation, an insight into life, which is instilled within us here. It is the attempt of the 1973 TATLER to record the history, to tell the story, and
to give an accurate description of the panorama 197 3. As we exit Howe and 1973, we enter a world of paradoxes, which is ours to plunder and enrich, to discover and lose and find again, to explore, to exploit and finally replenish. We have left our mark on Howe as it has left its mark on us; and there is no
denying that the year 1973 was definitely a year to remember.
