Major David H. Edwards, because of his ceaseless efforls lo establish an excellent military department at Howe School; because he has succeeded in turning out well-trained, intelligently obedient young men of sterling character fitting them lo be leaders in whatever walks of life they may find themselves; and because we have always found him equally fair in his dealings with the cadets, we, the members of the class of 1927, respectfully dedicate this edition of the Tat/er.

THE MIDDLE SCHOOL SENTINEL

The Midd le Sc h oo l ScnL incl wa s a new paper on the camp u s thi s year, and we hope t h at 1t is here to s t ay. However, it dea ls wit h the new s of the who le s chool and the world in ge n era l so i t is of eq ual importance to eve ryone. One of the feature s of the ye ar wa s the recording word for word of one of Mr. Todd's famou s s ermon s "The S h adow of a Man". Aga in t h anks goes to M iss Libcy who took the time and the troub le to record thi s se rmon , which is tru l y a ma s terpiece The Se ntinel a lso afforded mean s for the s tudent s to have the ir essays and 's tor ies publ is h ed and thu s s timulate an int erest in uch work.

Too much can not be sa id for Mi ss Libcy S h e h as been h ere a long time , and dur i ng that Lirr c s he h as done more than can be i1Tagined to help the s choo l along in every way.
